I recently returned my Hiboy Max Pro because of tire issues. I spent some time searching for a new scooter and finally decided on the Caroma P7 Scooter. While the price is low, the shipping cost is very high however, upon receiving this scooter today, I can say my first impressions are that it’s pretty awesome. First, be careful opening the box as there are sharp staples, one of which cut my finger. Everything is packaged well and it’s fairly easy to take out of the box. Assembly wasn’t too bad. Tools are provided but the instructions lack a bit so my advice is to YouTube the assembly. The battery comes about half charged. Speaking of battery, that is the only indicator. There is no speed indicator on this scooter. Acceleration is peppy and one of the things I’m most impressed with is when you stop accelerating, the scooter continues at speed for a good period of time before slowing down. Brakes are tight but sorta loud as they are disc brakes. Not bad though. The scooter is also very quiet which is nice. The tires are 14” air filled. I’m skeptical of air filled tires due to past experiences so I hope these are better. The tires absorb the road well which is good because apparently there’s no separate suspension system. The performance of this scooter gives a sense of confidence even when there’s one bar left on the battery. It just feels solid. I haven’t tested the lights yet however, they appear to LED up front. So far it’s great. Maybe not the fanciest out there but sometimes simple is better.

Very good packing, they made sure bike is secured and nothing should happen to it while in transit. Scooter was 80 % preassembled, just had to mount a seat, rear basket and latch the front. No additional tools needed, all you need its in the package. Battery was precharged which was cool, so I could test it right away. Bike (my second name for it) was able to carry one adult and two kids, so it is pretty strong overall.I was able to drive 20mph max so fat. Bright front light, that gives enough light when dark. It also has a rear light, and stop light whenever you brake. There are 3 speed levels. Battery fully rechargers within approximately 2-3 hours.From cons, I only noticed that quick release clamp that should lock the seat at desired height does not hold strong enough and anytime I was adjusting the seat height I had to make sure to extra tighten the bolt with wrench. otherwise seat would go down after I sit on it.

Assembly was easy. Quiet. Faster than I expected. Feels quite sturdy. Headlight and taillight are both very bright.

Shock absorption of the tires are literally the only thing great about this bike/scooter. Don't break too hard or the quick release on the handle bar releases and you'll fly over the handle bars and split your face open too. Yes I tightened everything before riding. This occurred 2 weeks after purchasing. 2 months in and the tunes burst in both wheels. Tried to contact the manufacturer and zero help or ability to get through in order to order new and correct parts. Found the parts through a different company, installed myself, no problem. Less than a month later, the motor stopped working. Save your time and money and get a nicer ebike or escooter from a company that will at least return your calls or emails.

Putting it together was not that hard but charging was a different story.It came with some battery life so we rode it and loved it… then…We plugged it in excited for a full charge and it did the complete opposite…It actually discharged and would not turn on again. Or so we thought….The red light was green indicating a full charge but it would not turn on. It acted as though it was completely dead. I watched multiple videos of people enjoying theirs, giving great reviews, but I was not able to enjoy mine.We were ready to return it when we found a video saying to take the battery out and check all the wires. So we did. It took us two days to figure out that some internal wire had come off somehow after we rode it.We repaired it, put it back together and it had a full charge and now works fine…Soooo… it is sturdy, looks great, rides fun but I was bummed I didn’t get to enjoy on my birthday. I pray it holds up after the next ride.
