Pinnace (also known as Pinnacle; also known as Penis on YouTube's closed captions) comes with the same solid performance I’ve come to expect from the French Avenue, as usual. If you’re wondering how it stacks up to the original (we’re talking about Pacific Chill by Louis Vuitton here), I’d say it’s about 85-90% similar.While it’s citrus-forward, what really sets this fragrance apart is the "surprise" apricot note. Oddly enough, Fragrantica doesn’t list it, but trust me - it’s there, and it’s the secret ingredient that takes this scent from “another summer citrus bomb” to something much more interesting. That apricot keeps things lively and far less predictable.You could even push this one into early fall with a few extra sprays. It’s still better for daytime, but I can see this working perfectly for a summer evening by the sea - no surprise there!Performance-wise, projection isn’t going to blow anyone away; it's more of an arm’s length type of deal. But longevity is decent, lasting a good 6 hours, possibly longer depending on the weather/temperature.If you’re a fan of Pacific Chill from Louis Vuitton, Pinnace is a worthy (and wallet-friendly) alternative. In fact, it might make the original feel a little redundant.
