The media could not be loaded.  I did not have high expectations going on for these knives, given the seemingly rando name, and the gimmicky look.But I was wrong to set my expectations low! These knives are sturdy, very sharp, and the wood handle is actually wood! These knives treat root vegetables like butter, and I love cooking up meat, letting it rest, then just slicing it and eating right there on the wood board.I care too much about these knives now to use them on a glass or plate surface. I got my wife a couple wustof knives for Christmas but she even finds herself going for the Chef Hoablorn on occasion. We love how silly the name rolls of the tongue and we joke about it a good chunk of the time we're cooking together.The finishing that's on the wood handles will wash off the first time you wash them, so you'll want to add your own stain or finish to them or the handles will look a little faded and dry. But this does not affect performance or integrity of the knives.Chef Hoablorn has earned a place in the special knives area of our kitchen. Highly recommend!

These knives are beautiful and purposeful. They slice through even tough root vegetables like they were butter. They are sharp all the way down the blade and they stay sharp. I waited until I have had these knives for 2 months so that I could review them properly. They are easy to wash and they stay so nice looking. I have had friends comment on them. I actually enjoy preparing food so much more with these knives. I didn't realize what a difference they would make. I can slice onions without tearing up because they slice through without tearing up the onion as much and so release less of the oils. I highly recommend these knives

I've been using these for a couple weeks now. Edge retention is pretty good and they aren't hard to resharpen. I like the balance as well.

These knives are great. They slice through everything like a dream. The design cannot be beat. Everyone who sees these knives compliments them. The look is truly unique and beautiful. Wish I could show them to more people, but it might not go over very well if I were to carry these around with me. They are my favorite to grab every time I need to cut something in the kitchen.

I didn't have too high of expectations getting these off of amazon but man they exceeded my expectations. They come pretty sharp already and I didn't feel the need to sharpen them at all when I first got them. They hold their sharpness pretty well so you won't have to sharpen them for a while after your inital purchase.
