This heavy-duty fireman's hose gun comes packaged in a cardboard box and I could tell, before opening it, that there was going to be a quality product inside, because of the weight! Taking it out and checking it over, I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. It feels solidly made - you can tell it's 100% metal inside. That doesn't make it very heavy, just sturdy and very nice in the hand.Sometimes buying cheaper is a false economy and I have to be honest, I'm fed up of buying plastic spray guns that work for one or two seasons, and then give up, so I've been looking for heavier-duty guns this year and wow, I have to say, this one is wonderful! The fireman-style lever is just brilliant. They say it provides greater control and flexibility and I have to agree. Rather than one button pressed for on or off, you can adjust by pushing or pulling the lever. I imagine anyone with conditions such as arthritis will find this so much easier. The handle is lovely to hold, ergonomic and non-slip.It has 8 different spray patterns (shower, flat, mist, vertical, centre, full, jet, cone) and they turn easily, clicking into place. I think the best part is they've chosen all the popular patterns (one of my other guns has about 20 but I only use 3). This gun is well-designed, thought-through and I am a huge fan. This spray gun is worth every penny! Highly recommended.

A good, weighty, metal, garden hose spray gun.Ordered as a replacement for the plastic hose spray gun which came with our garden hose. Our current hose is one of those expanding types with the pre-attached brass quick-connect fittings, this heavy duty fireman's hose gun fitted onto this with very little effort and formed a drip free connection. The gun, being made mostly from metal is a far cry from the usual plastic hose spray guns, the weight alone gives it a feeling of quality and durability and then there's features like the eight spray patterns and the easy shift control lever both of which give far greater control over how water is dispersed from your hose.One handy tip that I have picked up from the instruction sheet provided with this gun is to disconnect, drain and store it away during the winter months to save it getting damaged by freezing (this may seem obvious to many people but I had honestly never considered doing this with previous guns that we have used).Anyway, in short, I really like this gun, how it feels and how it works and, assuming that it lasts, I would not hesitate to recommend it.

This hose spray oozes a quality feel, I am so used to plastic type garden hose sprinklers, guns etc that only seem to last a year or two. I am hoping with the quality feel means I will be using this for years to come.There are 8 settings on the hose which are selected by moving the bezel, these different settings are labelled and are very easy to select. The volume of water is changed by moving the top lever forward and back, I find this much better than having a trigger. Easier on your hand and also the flow and more easily be adjusted when watering more fragile flowers etc than when watering the grass which is more durable.Fingers crossed this lasts, it is reassuringly well made (with a higher price tag to match) but I think you would save money in the long run with the extra initial outlay.

Our spray guns take a lot of abuse and we get through about one a year. I have high hopes for this spray gun though as it's a solid piece of kit (it has survived a week of the usual abuse already). Mostly metal construction, with robust handle and a range of different nozzle patterns it feels really solid and I'm sure will last a long time. The handle gives good control of the water flow and with range and accuracy not possible on the trigger type. Nice not to have to hold a trigger at the same position for a long time to get the flow rate you want - just set the handle position and you are done. I get the feeling this simpler mechanical model vs a trigger will last longer too. The handle also makes a useful hook to hang it up from. Although it's not cheap I would say it's well worth the money and will last well.

If you’re like me and subscribe to the ‘buy cheap buy twice’ mentality then buy this! I’ve had many a spray gun and it’s either been dropped, stood on or just withered in the elements but this feels really robust.It’s quite heavy as it’s made of steel and it feels solid in your hand. I thought at first the fireman’s hose type handle was a bit of a gimmick but since the trigger was what broke on my previous spray gun then this feels a lot less likely to succumb to the same outcome.It’s easy to rotate theough the different nozzles - this bit is just like any other gun really but again it feels really solid to use. There’s a wide range of different types of spray - more than what I’ll ever need but is no doubt enough for every type of use.Overall it’s a bit on the expensive side but the simple design and sturdy materials will make this good value over many years use.

This is a really good hose gun. It is solid, weighty and strong. I don't see it breaking up as my cheaper ones always do. I think it is a matter of taste as to whether you prefer the one-handed type with a trigger to turn on the flow. This one is controlled by the stirrup lever. You hold it with one hand and move the lever with the other. The lever stays put so using the gun after setting the lever is a one-handed operation. I think this will last for years.
