We were introduced to pickle ball while visiting my in-laws. Our family liked the sport so much that we wanted to purchase a set for us. This was an inexpensive set. My family ranges from 10 to 19 years old with us parents being in our 40's. It's a really good starter set. Paddles are solid wood. They are not too heavy in my hand. The children seem to do well with them. I was kind of worried about getting wood paddles as the one we used at my in-laws was heavy. It was a bit larger than these paddles. It's a great family set. The only thing that I've had wrong with it is the grip. The grip is not very sticky and has separated. This did not affect play but is an eyesore.

Purchase this set so I can supply paddles to friends I am introducing to pickleball and I was impressed with the overall quality of the racket. I tested it with some experienced players and they like the soft feel of the racket when playing at the net. I still prefer my more expensive paddle, but a good set overall. I should note 3 other points . The paddle has a smaller grip and is light weight; good for learning strokes. Second point, the paddle face is white face on both sides which makes great for using dry erase makers on them to make fun art. Lastly, the set was supplied with indoor pickle balls., you should consider buying a set of outdoor balls with your purchase.

Paid $35 for this set. Good value for decent beginner equipment. The balls seem to be pretty standard and have held up well so far. The paddles are good, despite some of the reviews that seem to suggest they crumble during the first match. They are laminated maple, according the description (plywood, essentially), and have a good satin finish. They are, admittedly, heavier than composite paddles but not unwieldy as some reviews have suggested. Again, this is a beginner's set. The top veneer on the edge of my paddle started to peel but that was due to hitting half-volleys and striking the floor during the shot. A little wood glue and a handy-dandy duct tape strip around the edge of the paddle to prevent future damage and I'm good to go again. The paddles' grips are very good - ribbed and slightly padded - and have a nice, secure feel. I searched Amazon for the most economical, best-quality set, and I believe this is it. I'll upgrade eventually if I stick with the sport, but for now this was a solid, entry-level buy.

I am new to pickleball but my kids have all played it at school. This pickleball set has been so much fun to use! We are home due to the quarantine and have spent a lot of time playing pickleball in our driveway. The paddles are sturdy and the grip is very comfortable for long periods of time. In addition, the balls are a bright color so they are easy to find if they get far away from us. My kids say that these paddles are better than the ones they use at school because they are lighter and easier to grip. We use this set with the Boulder Portable Badminton Net set because the net height is adjustable and fits in our driveway. What a great way to spend the afternoon!

After attending a free pickleball clinic recently, my fiance and I were hooked! I searched stores nearby and couldn't find any reasonably priced pickleball equipment to get us started playing on our own, so I decided to check amazon. So glad I grabbed this set.Pros:▪Good quality, sturdy racquets▪Highly visible neon green balls which are easy to see in any level of lighting▪Great value for the price (2 racquets and 4 balls)Cons:▪Wrist strap can be annoying (I might cut this off)▪Not sure how durable the balls will be over time (they were quite scuffed up and dented after one evening of play)All in all, I do recommend this set for beginners. Glad I purchased it and I might buy a second set to invite friends along to play doubles.

We tried another paddle first that was smaller and designed for children, but the reduced dimensions deadened the paddle face and made the sweet spot too small. This paddle has the face size of an adult paddle, but it is more lightweight and has a thinner grip size. My daughter is hitting the ball much more solidly with this paddle, and we are going to buy another one for my son.

This is great to get if you are starting out and want to see if Pickleball is in your future. The balls in this package are a little cheaper than legit pickle balls and have a little less bounce but won’t stop you from having fun! I would highly recommend this as a starter kit before investing in graphite paddles and more standard pickle balls.Also great for an extra set or for kids.

I purchased this paddle for my wife who just started playing Pickleball. She's been pleased with the product and able to spin serve the ball.

Makes the game easy to get into... they're only slightly heaver than the more expensive carbon fiber/vinyl kinds of paddles, which makes these ideal for beginners and especially children. Personally I feel the extra weight helps train you for better control&power, at least before buying more expensive paddles. You really can't go wrong with these

Bought this years ago was a good purchase only can’t use it now due to Covid restrictions for play

Ideal for the purpose as a recent player of the game and would say excellent value for money although the handle has started to come apart.
