This is a review for the single ring hob which was priced at £99.00 not the four ring that is currently shown for this listing.It comes well packaged and protected with a big warning notice in the bag that it should only be installed by a qualified person - I think I qualify as all it needs is plugging into a wall socket although it does have fittings to fix it into a worktop.I have been having some repair work done recently which meant that I could not access my oven and hob so this single ring hob has been extremely useful. I mostly used a multi level steamer so I can cook various things at the same time, much better than relying on a microwave for everything.It heats up quickly and if you have children with inquisitive fingers I can see the lock feature being really useful. I am not sure why, with the size of it they did not include two rings as this would make it a much more practical item and fit in the same space as there is a lot of wasted space on it.For what I wanted and used it for over the last few days it has been a definite 5 stars.

The hob I requested was a single ring halogen. However, through changes to the description it now appears to be a four ring induction hob. I am reviewing the single ring halogen hob which is what I received.The unit is well made if a little large for a single ring with lots of wasted space in reality.I cant be 100% certain but having read the previous description I thought this was a portable stand alone unit. Having inspected the underside of the hob I am convinced it should actually only be used as a built into the worktop item.There is nothing apparently wrong with the hob, it actually looks decent, but make sure what you are ordering fits your requirements and expectations. Please also be safe when using it!

When this single-ring hob was listed for review, it was listed at £99. In between the listing and me being able to review it, it's disappeared from the site, and there's only the four ring 'proper' hob available. For avoidance of doubt, my review is of the smaller one.The hob's really nice. It's an induction hob, which is black magic as far as my mum's concerned, in the same way microwave ovens were to my nan. But in short, no glass cookware. That's fine. Build quality is really good, and I'm sure that extends to the 4 ring version.It's roughly 30cmx50cm, and has its single ring more near the middle. At this point it's worth considering the amount of unused space front and back, and that it's designed to be built into a worktop. I find that really odd and I'm trying to work out what the intended use case was! If it were for a very tiny kitchen area in a bedsit then two rings would be infinitely more sensible; for times when you only need a single ring then it would be more use to have one that doesn't have to be fitted into a worktop. After considering options I'd say this would be good for a campervan for running from shore power, or for a non-kitchen kitchen, like in a studio or something. Its make-up is just a little too odd to work in a normal kitchen.I've given four stars, based on the quality of the build and assuming that it passes over to the four ring version (which is seemingly where the score will go). The £99 being asked for for the single ring version was too high, £170 for four is reasonable and the 15% off voucher will get it to an ideal price.

This single hob unit is very easy to use, simply plug in, switch on and choose your heat setting. It warms up very, very quickly indeed, surprisingly so. It is a solid and sturdy piece of kit, yet a small enough size that it could fit in most spaces, making it particularly practical.This hob is very well made, quick to heat, offers an practical option when space is limited and is very worthy of consideration.

The media could not be loaded.  This single ceramic hob from Hobsir is well made, works well and looks great.Per the video included with this review, the hob has 4 buttons, from left to right; ‘lock’, ‘decrease power’, increase power’, ‘power on / off’. To operate simply press power button and then select heat setting from 9 levels. Per video the heat is near instant which can be seen by the glowing red on the hob.Per photos included with this review the hob comes well packaged to protect it in transit.Also per photos the top of the hob is 29cm x 52cm in size and the height is 4cm. The hob is designed to fit in a cutout of worktop but can also be used by sitting on a flat surface (which makes it ideal for taking camping etc or just using as a spare when needed).The hob comes with a UK 3 pin plug wired in to a 130cm cable.
