Already bought smaller sizes ties in requirement,but felt the length of just required for some other means securing and keeping tidy objects,like membrane that's loose,rolls of wallpaper. They can be used to secure all sorts of things. I have used smaller ones in the past to secure garden mesh to a gate in order to stop the local wildlife from getting into me garden.These heavy duty cable ties will be used to secure the fence in my garden that is shared with our neighbour. Long story short, the neighbour is a pain and won't pay towards replacing the broken fence - even though she broke it by rotting it with constant over watering of the plants she has right up against it. Her idea of a "fix" was to try and toss a wooden pallet into OUR garden to secure it - I never let that actually happen.These cable ties are long enough to wrap around a rotten wooden fence post, to then secure it to a concrete post - and hopefully save the fence for a few more months until hopefully the neighbour stops being petulant and takes responsibility for the damage she has caused.Wow! That really went off on a tangent - but these are really good cable ties!

I started using zip ties to help secure them in place – it’s a cheap solution that works. These cable ties are thicker and longer than those I currently use – I sometimes need to join two together but one of these is long enough on its own to wrap around a paling and rail a couple of times so will do an even better job. They are good quality and should last for years. The current price of £9.99 for 30 is good value.
