Wychwood Truefly SLA Mark 2 Cassette Fly Fishing Reel

Very nice reel to use, nice and light for the size and handles a 9 weight line, smooth and a good drag....all in all well pleased with it ! 😀

I own the SLA Mk 1 and this is a good upgrade. Quality build and nice looking. The drag works well and is easily adjusted while playing fish (tested with a nice rainbow that did not want to be landed). It holds the line well and the Large arbour nature helps reduce line memory. Comes in a good case with 2 spare spools and notes on care and use. If it lasts as long as my Mk 1 i will be very happy.

I have had an issue with this since I received it as a Christmas present, the spool will not lock on plus the drag seems to work in reverse, with no way of altering, terrible product

Great value for money. No manufacturing flaws on my product. Used for pike fishing. Only gripe would be the weight compared to machined reels but they usually cost 3 or 4 times what you'll pay for this...

Very light and looks good, spool release knob was very tight at first but managed to get it loose.

Very nicely packed, sturdy pva case, although too large to use when out fishing, reel has a very sturdy feel, well made with a smooth action, the large arbor definitely helps reduce any looping. Overall pleased with my purchase.
