[edit]The book Are We There Yet? was an absolute delight to read. Formulated on the premise that marriage is a journey rather than a destination, the book has a travel theme woven expertly throughout it. The Biblical tools for the trip are included in the book in an easy-to-read format.I loved the personal stories of the Chappells and the pictures to go along with them. (The story of Terrie and the one-eyed horse had me laughing out loud!) Plenty of Biblical marriage principles combined with the conversational format made me feel as if the Chappells are personal friends, and we were across the living room sharing insights together. I also loved that they shared both strengths and weaknesses, not from the perspective that they have arrived at perfection, but as proof that marriage is a continual challenge no matter how long a couple has been married.As a couple who has been married 25 years, we can say that this book has been challenging and encouraging to us as a couple. We definitely are not there yet, but with this book, we have a clearer picture of how to get there.

This is a wonderful book that can help couples at any stage in the marriage journey. Whether you're getting ready to get married and you are looking for a good resource to read together. Or you have some years of marriage behind you already and you just want to learn how to be a better spouse, this book is for you. The Chappells have written this book in such an easy to read, comfortable manner it is literally like you're sitting down with them as they share their heart for your marriage. I was challenged many times as I read this book and spoke to my wife about many different things contained in it. Anyone desiring to have a solid, biblical marriage should read this book.

This book will be a tremendous help to marriages! As I read “Are We There Yet,” I saw growth in my relationship with my wife even though we just celebrated 19 years of marriage! I have purchased several copies to distribute to our church family. The Biblical truths shared from real life experiences helps to apply the truths in a practical, personal way.

This is a well organized book written by Pastor Paul Chapell. I recommend all married couples read it to make their marriages better. I also recommend this book for those considering marriage as premarital counseling. It will be beneficial to all marriages.

The easy-to-understand techniques taught in this book can save your marriage. If I had read anything like it fifty years ago, I would not be divorced.

One of the best books on marriage that I've ever read! A roadmap for married couples who want to see their love grow over the years.
