Super fast charger for your macbook
This is a super fast charger for your macbook, or any USB device at 118w. A great replacement for your original charger which is around the same size as the Apple one supplied. It doesn't seem to heat up much, gets warm but nothing alarming while charging.Great quality.

Good 118W Charger, I Think
This is a USB-C charger which provides a good variety of voltages and currents to a number of possible devices.Phones, Tablets, & Laptops will often charge faster using PD or Power Delivery. That involves a negotiation between power supply and the device to be charged. The higher voltages and currents will only be provided to the device if the device supports the correct protocol and negotiation. I was able to demonstrate (some) of the voltages possible - namely 5V, 9V, 12V, and 20V. 15V & 18V are also possible, but I don't have any devices which need these voltages.Non-phone devices will charge at 5V and up to 3A of current - so a maximum of 15W of power. This charger is fine providing that current. In fact I was able to draw 5V 3.2A of power from the charger (using a current load device), before safety protocols cut in.It charged my phone, and tablet at the fastest possible rates, including 'super-fast charging version 2', as reported by my tablet. It also charged my wife's 65W laptop. What it didn't do was charge my own 130W Dell laptop !! That was a surprise. I know 118W is less than 130W, but it should still charge, if a little more slowly. It didn't charge at all. No voltage and no current. Clearly the negotiation between charger and laptop failed. Whether that is a problem with my laptop or the charger I do not know, but as a backup charger for my laptop, it was a fail. I am willing to believe my laptop was the culprit, as it is quite old, but I am not sure.A USB C-C cable is provided in the set, which does the job, but I prefer braided cables, and I will be using one of my other (prettier) hi-spec ones.BTW, the UK plug attaches to the charger block with a 'figure of 8' attachment. I like this, as it allows me to use the adaptor with different figure of 8 cables, including foreign ones (which I have a store of).Overall, I think this is a good charger... It charged pretty much everything I threw at it. It will supply 'fast' or 'superfast' charging to all phones, & tablets. It will charge every other dumb USB device at 5V 3A. It will also charge the majority of standard & performance laptops - but not gaming laptops. Unfortunately it didn't charge my performance laptop, but as I said this may be the fault of my laptop.
