I sprinkle this on salads to add some crunch and it's great for adding texture. I also tried it as a soup thickner which gave a nice consistency to my soup there's not much taste but it does act as a good thickner without the need to use flour. I use this for hot cereal with milk. I boil it up in a pan until it has the consistency of porridge. Add some honey and it is very filling with a nutty taste. Hopefully everything you hear about the nutrients in it is right.

These organic brown rice flakes from Trend brand in a resealable 500g bag. They make a nice change to oats when making a nutritious breakfast with fruit. They can be left overnight as you would oats to soak and soften, just give them a rinse in water first before using and make sure you eat them within 24 hours as rice doesn’t keep well. These organic brown rice flakes have a use by date of 3 months, which is a little shorter than I’d like but appreciate being organic they don’t have preservatives.

These rice flakes are amazing, I already cooked a lot with oats, so I tried some of the recipes using these rice flakes and they turned out really nice. Rice flakes are made from part boiled rice which has been de-husked and then flattened into flakes, this is wholemeal rice flakes which is super healthy. They are great for overnight rice breakfasts which you make just the same as overnight oats, you can add fruit to your choice. Banana and cinnamon slices made using rice flakes instead of oats turned out really well, I preferred the texture of these rice flakes to oats, it was moister and less chewy. You can also make savoury dishes too, rice flake crackers are quick and easy to make, I like to add herbs to mine. If you like rice pudding you will love flaked rice pudding, add plenty of vanilla and cream for an extra special treat.

very much unsure about this product as this the first time using it in such a form. It is interesting and it definitely adds texture and benefits to your porridge for example. I like to sprinkle these rice flakes into my protein smoothies for extra thickness and protein content. Under £9 this a good quality product but one may need to know for sure how best to use such a product. It is for sure very interesting and innovative.
