A bit stiffer than lower strength 550 paracord but easy to handle and knots well
This cord feels a bit stiffer than the 550 paracord I’m most accustomed to but 550, while the same 4mm diameter, only has 7 internal strands while this cord has twelve (I counted, see picture). Despite being somewhat stiffer this cord is easy to handle and it knots well. Overall construction quality looks good with no flaws found. The listing say “3/8” but that has no relation to the dimension of the cord which is 4mm in diameter, as measured with calipers, or anything else about the cord as far as I can tell. The listing also indicates a breaking strength of 1,000 lbs. Mil Spec Type IV, aka 750, paracord has a rated breaking strength of 750 lbs and it is 5mm in diameter with 11 strands so I’m going to maintain a degree of skepticism regarding the 1,000 lb rating of this line. In any case while useful for a wide variety of purposes paracord should never be used for climbing, overhead lifting, towing, etc. whether within a theoretical weight rating or not. Keep in mind the cord strength rating is for static loads only. As soon as you add dynamic stresses, such as swinging the weight, loads go up fast. Furthermore cord strength is compromised by knots, runs over corners and moisture, often by 25% or more. The bottom line is if used in a manner which may pose physical danger employ a large safety factor. Working load limits are usually about 20% of breaking strength but, again, that is for static loads with no knots, straight runs and dry line. If I were going to sling a hammock with this paracord, for example, I’d probably use at least 6 lengths of cord on each end of the hammock. When employing this cord also remember paracord is designed to stretch up to 30% under load. For typical paracord uses this cord looks like it should serve well while offering a relatively high strength factor by paracord standards; and paracord in general offers remarkably high strength to weight ratios. Plus this cord comes with a nice Velcro cinch strap (pictured).

Good cordage fair price
Not much to say here. Is a quality roll of paracord at a fair price. Not too thick nor thin. Doesn’t stretch too much and is extremely easy to work with. Good deal all around for standard cordage

Great paracord - heavier than 550!
I make a lot of paracord bracelets so I'm always looking for good deals on it. Came across this a few weeks back. Seems to be heavier than regulat 550 Paracord, so it's been making me some really heavy duty bracelets. Have no idea about the 1,000lb breaking strength claim! If you make bracelets, be warned, this cord has a rougher feel to it than 550 cord so you get sore fingers pretty quickly! Otherwise this is great stuff and I ordered more! Highly recommended.

Super strong
Great stuff. this cord is super strong. I have used it for a few things around the house already. made a new leash for my kid's boogie board. Strung some up for a clothesline in the backyard. and replaced a drawstring on an old pack. It's also great to have some of this in your go bag or camp stuff. you never know when you may need this. The price is great at 10 bucks for a hundred feet.

Perfectly fine paracord
Nothing special about this paracord but it works well and is of good quality. It’s the same diameter that you’d expect it to be with other cord of similar strength. The dark black color blends well with the other blacks on my backpack. Priced well for the length and strength. I’ve been using it to hold up wire antennas for portable operations and so far tree bark hasn’t caused it to fail.

Great for most hiking camping tasks
The primary use for this product for me is camping and hiking, both of which our family does a lot. We use paracord for so many uses and none of them are for relying on its 1,000 lb claimed strength. We use it for shelters, tents, hanging garbage, clothes lines, dragging and leveraging and many other uses. This fits those uses perfectly. Stiffer than some, but not enough to consider it a negative. Easy to knot and I tend to like the stiffer lines as they don't seem to tangle quite as easy for me.I will be buying another bundle or two to have on hand.
