I searched quite extensively for a mancala set for our daughter. This one checked all of the boxes. It is attractive which makes for a nice gift presentation. I wouldn't say it's compact, however it folds in half into a narrow shape with magnets that makes it easy to store. The board is solid wood with little carved designs on the outside. The game pieces are irregular shapes of real polished stone which are both beautiful to look at and comfortable to hold. They aren't too big or too small and so much more interesting than the flat glass stones for floral arrangements some sets come with. If you play mancala you know that eventually you accumulate a handful that can be a challenge for smaller hands. Most importantly, they're not round! I can't understand how some sellers are using marbles. Why?🤷‍♀️ Anyhow, this set has been a joy to play with and at such a reasonable price I would easily repurchase for gifting.

I expected something quality for $50 USD when I bought it- I will say am definitely satisfied with this mancala set. It is beautifully crafted, sturdy and the variety of the 48 stones is nice and unique. Will be enjoyed for years to come.

The board is gorgeous with its carvings and large 'cups' for the stones. I'm very impressed with the size of this thing, nothing like the 20$ target ones. The polished stones are a great size for kids and adults, I was worried they'd be too small! Our board came with a beautiful myriad of shapes and colors, a lot of them are dark green which is my favorite!I took off a star because the mancala box it came in was ripped in 2 places and the game was slipping out. I wouldn't care if it wasn't a gift. I taped it back and I just hope no one at my sons party notices how trashy it is of me lol for 50$ let's make sure things get a quality check, yeah?
