I got these for riding my motorcycle and NOT wanting to risk getting sunburned which has happened a time or two after long rides. I wanted something that looked cool (I mean, ya gotta look cool on a motorcycle!) and also might keep me cool in the hot sun. I've never worn "cooling" material before so wasn't sure if it was going to work but figured I'd give these a try. When I tried them on I was already starting to sweat since they came when I was working out, and I actually almost instantly felt the cooling effect when air passed over my arm! I admit I was skeptical but immediately became a believer. I guess since it traps your sweat moisture on your skin and with the thin porous material, once air flows over it it immediately feels cool. Amazing! The design gives it some pop over a solid color and I can ride without worry about sunburn/windburn, and I can always take them off if I want/need to. The last thing I wondered about was how they would fit. I've worked out for years and have larger than average arms so I wondered if they would either be too tight on my upper arm or possibly try to roll down if stretched, neither was the case. All the boxes were checked! I haven't had them long enough to see if anything changes, like after washing etc, but provided that doesn't happen I am very pleased with these sleeves and will probably look to get at least 1 more pair in the future.
