Made an excellent replacement for my original vacuum fuel pump
My Yamaha Rhino had a temperamental old vacuum fuel pump and it's been giving me a lot of trouble. What to do?I got this General purpose electric pump and wired it to be 'on' when my ignition switch was on. Removed the fuel lines going to the old pump and attached them to this new one. Secured this new pump to the frame with zip ties (metal tab type to be reliable) and turned on the key...Definitely I can hear the fuel reaching the pump then the 'tone' of the pump changed as it took on fuel and filled the carburetor's float bowl and came back through the return line.I got the engine started on my second crank. It's idling fine now and after going for a quick run up & down the road - I'm feeling like my Rhino is working good again!This pump has a great price point for what it is and how well it draws/primes without any intervention. It's a good fuel pump!If you've got about 10 minutes and can connect a wire or two, this pump could get you back into the game.My wheels are rolling again...Two thumbs up!
