Great price for excellent foot protection.
These metatarsal guards are great… Fully functional! They’re easy to attach to my shoes. I’m having some foot problems, and my umpire plate shoes don’t fit properly at the moment, and so I’ve used these metatarsal guards on some walking shoes, and they’ve worked out really well to protect my feet.

great and saved my foot...need one modification
best design of metatarsal guards for my work bootsWith the two slots on them, fit perfectly by lacing them in right above the closed lace holders...up and down through the two slots, and then to the quick lace holders. The metatarsal guards stay firmly in place through all manner of roofing and construction work.The only thing is they need to be filed at the point closest to your let when installed. They look like they were snapped off of a mold just like pieces when building a model.File and Sand those edges, and you have a good guard.

Works for what I needed it for.
I used it with my air cast for planters to protect my toe. HR wouldn't allow the air cast since it was an open toe so in comes this product. Pretty much I used a heat gun to remove some of the arch to make it more comfortable and work with the boot. Now it's HR approved.

Feels solid
These are polycarbonate, and my prior experience in working with similar materials leads me to believe that they'll easily stand up to forces that would break my foot, so I'm confident they'll do their primary job.Lacing them onto my well-used work boots was a bit of a pain, but that should be a once-per-pair-of-boots task, so it's not a big issue. Once they're on, I really don't even notice them: the front edge rides on top of the steel toe cap, and I can't feel the back edge. There may be a little extra bending resistance, but they slide enough that I'm still able to walk without noticing any restriction.I do kind of wish they came in a matte finish though: the shiny polycarbonate really stands out on my scuffed up boots.
