And you may be relieved to learn that there is a volume control! When it is switched on, the ‘control box’ lights up. The mat is very lightweight and can easily be wiped clean. It requires 3 AA batteries (not included) – the lid of the battery compartment is secured with a small screw. Although, the item title/description says this toy is suitable for “0-6 months Toddler Toys for 1 2 3 Year Old”, the safety warning on the box is that it is for children aged 3+ years – it is not suitable for children under due to small parts.One thing to note is that several of the photographs used to advertise the musical mat are misleading regarding its size. My 2 year old son had independent play with these toys, giving me a much-needed break. I feel comfortable letting him play with them because they're made of non-toxic materials and have no small parts. However, the music could be a bit louder to engage the kids more.

This pressure sensitive music Mat is a really good size, and It comes with two drumsticks for hitting the mat.To get started you'll need to insert the batteries which are not supplied, Then switch it on and start hitting away at the precious sensitive areas to make music.You can use the drumsticks that are supplied or you can use your hands or feet, It's such good fun and little ones can dance over it.It's a really nice quality and lovely bright colours.It has a recording playback feature so little ones can listen to the music they've created.On the mat you can turn the volume up or down, You can select a Demo which is like a backing track but you can play along too and you can press stop.You can also select animal noises which is absolutely hilarious, Kids love it!There is so much value in a time like this, They might start off jumping all over it and not really paying attention to it but as time goes on they will sit And play with it more. I think these are a great toy to have when you've put your children.
