Really Fun!
With no musical abilities at all I was able to create something pleasant to hear. I love the color, feel and size of this little drum. It's a good size to hold comfortably and has a lovely tone. I had to try it out as it was to be a gift and I didn't want to give it if it was no good. I can definitely say that it was well received and the new owners are both delighted with the drum.

Great sounds with drum sticks. Putting it in my rose bushes next steady rain so I can sit on the porch and see how it sounds with rain.

Really neat, high quality
I ordered this drum as a gift, and it exceeded my expectations. The sound it makes it ethereal. For being only 6 inches I was expecting it to be small, but it "feels" much bigger if that makes sense? The numbers and lettering is printed on, unlike other options that are just cheap stickers.

Don't make a sound in the rain
Amendment to original review. The seller was kind enough to contact me to try to resolve issue. I purchased 5 drums as gifts so returning wasn't an option. They gave me a partial refund, as they are a small business. I appreciate their effort.The drums are well made and are esthetically pleasing. They do have a nice sound with a mallet. My sister put hers under a patio roof edge with no gutter. It did make a little sound there. That's not an option for the rest of my gift recipients. Maybe next year they get rain bells. 😉Originsl review: Bought them for the description that they could be used as rain drums. They have a nice sound if you want to use the mallets manually. They do NOT, however make a sound in the rain. They need to be placed under rain bells or something with a strong stream of water.

Such a great gift
Bought this for Christmas. We play games and have random gifts for prizes. Everyone was fighting over this one. Will be buying more next year!

Beautiful tone - our son loved it!
Our son collects unique musical instruments and uses them to make beautiful recordings. As a gift, this one became an instant star in his collection. Everyone at the party wanted to take a turn on it. It's tones are lovely.
