It fit nicely and works great.

This works well but it should be attached to the backing plate / padWith velcro, so just foam could be replaced saves money, pad would cleanup easier, and no backer winding up in a landfill. Luckly 3m & several others have a backer and assorted pads for this tool...Hello Porter Cable Product engineers would it be too hard to adhear to industry standards of attachment ?

this pad is softer than the others so you can wax over small body contours and it lasts the longest of all that i have tried

I just used these pads for the first time today. I have a Dodge Ram and applied wax with one pad and polished/removed it with the other (I used two in total). This stuff about the pads falling apart is nonsense. I did my large truck and put a fair amount of pressure on my orbital polisher. The pads, other than looking a little dirty, look about new. I'd say they hold up very well. I am going to order a few more as today I put my wax on a little thicker than I should have and my polishing pad got a little wet. Trying to polish after that got a little rougher than I would have expected, but luckily I was almost done and remembered I had two hands and a rag.

Genuine Porter-Cable products as low cost and quick delivery combined makes it a great deal.Use a Porter-Cable buffer or polisher. This is the one you need aa the pad gets older and looks yellow.

These work good as long as you dont push them too hard with a lot of pressure. 1 out of four that I have used worked well. One came apart pretty quickly. Thus the 4 out of five stars. I used them and properly cleaned and stored them when not in use.

When using this pad for polishing vehicles the plastic base cuts into the foam just from the weight of the polisher. I have opted to buy a hook and loop pad and have 3 different polishing pads with more stability

It is such a good applicator I have purchased another. Works great on my air tool buffer.Some bad reviews saying it tears apart can happen. It is only foam and if you catch an edgeit will rip off because of the power in the tool. Better then doing damage to your car. Use itwith caution not to catch it on anything. I used one to do a complete car. Now caught an edgeon the hood vent of my 1936 Chevy and it ripped. But no damage. Bought another and now a spare.
