Started off brilliantly but stopped working after 15 minutes. - Update - Now fixed!
Update:I originally rated this at 1 star due to it failing, but have now repaired the machine so have updated my score to 3 stars as I feel it is a great machine but elements of it were poorly assembled. The main issues I found were bad internal connections - lots of very loose spade connectors on the 240v power and switch circuit to the transformer, and loose wires and ring terminals in the wand part. It now works as it should.Original review:This is a nice looking machine. It feels sturdy, with a good cable thickness and the wand part is good to hold and easy to control. Appearance wise I'd say the only thing that lets it down a little is the plastic chrome look handle.Under use it started off great, all the power settings seemed good, and it made a satisfying buzz from the box a bit like a little arc welder. I started stitching up the crack in my side panel with the metal staples, and that part went fine. I then switched the tip to the smoothing tool, and for about 5 seconds it worked great, then the buzz noise in the box changed to a quieter noise and it stopped heating (this was all on the lowest setting). I tried changing settings, switching it off and on, putting the tip back to heat up staples again and nothing, it just doesn't work at all any more.Based on how well it started out I would have given it 5 stars, so I guess if you get one that doesn't break than it would be a good tool. It was going to be really useful for me so I'm sad my one failed so quickly. There is nothing a can really do but put this in the bin now, so on that basis I would struggle to recommend it.
