My 13-year-old did most of this puzzle and was particular about doing it himself, even though he also said "this puzzle is hard" a few times. It's definitely not your typical puzzle with all of its uniquely shaped pieces. The special ones are a lot more common than I thought they would be. There were a few pieces that were particularly challenging because the coloring didn't match anything around it, and it was a skinny piece.As far as the puzzle itself, in spite of the delicate shapes, it is very sturdy. They're made of wood and feel solid. I also like how the cover piece can be propped up so it's easier to see the picture. The paper image that comes with it has rounded edges that don't match the puzzle making that aspect a little more challenging.When my husband and son finished it, my husband was very enthusiastic when he declared that the puzzle was very fun and well-made. He's usually fairly introverted so that reaction surprised me and made me smile.If you love puzzles and are looking for something a little different, these puzzles are an excellent choice. The special pieces were especially delightful to work with.

I haven't done a puzzle in decades but thought it would be fun to have it laying out, ready to put a few pieces in at a time throughout a period of time. Well, that's not what happened. I got completely addicted and put it together in one session. Don't get me wrong, it had its challenges so it wasn't done in an hour, more like 4 hours. But it was so beautiful and the puzzle pieces were so interesting (unique and irregular shapes) that I didn't want to stop. And, the colors are so bright and the image quite vivid. I love the outcome and plan to leave it out in my office to admire for a while. Great puzzle if you want to knock one out and get that feeling of reaching a tangible short term goal. The quality of the wood pieces are great. All pieces fit well together. I will say that since there are some unusual shapes, they don't all fit snugly together until you get the surrounding pieces in place. But, in the end it all fits together nicely and is a stunning picture.

The bird puzzle is a beautiful image with vivid colors. I thought only 200 pieces would be simple to assemble. Not!The puzzle comes in a wooden box. It has a detailed paper guide with a "cheat" sheet on the back, which shows the puzzle pieces assembled. I've had to use it as a reference because the puzzle pieces are irregularly shaped, and I put a number of pieces in the wrong places, which hindered progress on the puzzle.I've been working on this puzzle in interludes for four days and despaired of ever getting it assembled, but it started to come together this morning.This puzzle also comes with a small wooden image of the puzzle that can be made to stand up for display.This puzzle is great for someone who enjoys a challenge and doesn't need immediate gratification. It is also one of the best quality puzzles I've worked on.

I recently put this puzzle together and was impressed by the quality of the pieces, good thickness, sturdiness, and the vibrancy of the colors. The insert with a diagram of the piece shapes proved incredibly helpful for this challenging puzzle. The only thing I'd recommend is a resealable bag for storing the pieces in the box again when finished - I don't know if I trust the box to stay closed to keep all of the pieces together.

this puzzle is about medium difficulty. since no pieces are standard puzzle piece shapes it can be difficult to figure out where pieces go, however there is a key on the back of the paper provided in the box if you need help with anything. all pieces fit extremely well together and you can tell immediately if you have put a piece in the wrong spot. it took us about 2 hours to complete, and looks very high quality once it is finished. only thing is two extra pieces have been provided (as you can see at the bottom) and they seem to be for a stand, but they don’t fit together to become a stand and the puzzle isn’t stable enough to stand on its own without taping up the back or something. very fun activity!

When I saw the lion head as a choice for this puzzle, I knew that was the one I had to get! I have a thing for lions as my first wooden puzzle was a lion head and that's when I fell in love with both lions and wooden puzzles. I like that this is different than the many other lion heads out there. The coloring is awesome! The colors are rich, and the pieces are well cut. This is an excellent price for a 200-piece wooden puzzle (currently $15) and it would also make a great gift as it's in a nice wooden box with the picture on the front. It also has a poster inside for further help in referring to while working the puzzle. I'm thrilled with this and can't wait to start it!
