The media could not be loaded. Unlike other hydrogen bottles that only display the blue light while working, a Lumière hydrogen bottle emits a series of colorful lights during the 5-minute electrolytic process. That could be confusing at first because the first color light was red as if I just pressed the wrong button. Then, the light changed quickly to other light colors. Each press on the power button gave me a 5-minute electrolytic process. When the battery was low, the Lumière hydrogen bottle simply shut off after a minute without any warning as if it had completed electrolyzing the water. I would prefer it stopped right away at the beginning rather than a minute later in case of low battery power. The Lumière bottle just didn't give out any warning at all. If I didn't pay attention, I might have thought it finished so quickly. Other brands of hydrogen bottles would display a steady red light to signal the user that it's time to recharge the battery.Right out of the box, I found that the clear drinking water in the bottle became dirty after a few shakes. I had to do a thorough cleaning with white vinegar. I am not sure if that was caused by the manufacturing process because other hydrogen bottles did not have dirty floaters even for the first time. After cleaning, the water in the bottle remained clear no matter how many times I shook the bottle with water inside.To see how much hydrogen gas was dissolved in the drinking water after a 5-minute run, I used a bottle of Molecular Hydrogen Test Reagent liquid drops. As demonstrated in the video, my sixth drop changed the water in the tiny testing cup to blue. So, discounting the last drop, the resulting water remained clear for a maximum of 5 drops. Since each drop indicates the presence of 100 ppb of hydrogen gas in the water, 5 drops would yield 500 ppb. Well, at least Lumière could boost the hydrogen content in the drink water that much. That is still better than the fresh tap water which virtually has no hydrogen.The package also included a small lid and a transparent plastic breathing tube that could be used for inhaling the hydrogen gas while electrolyzing a small amount of water for the same 5-minute duration. However, I didn't use this feature and so I couldn't tell how well it worked.One feature that is missing on the Lumière hydrogen bottle is the self cleaning cycle. I wish that they had a self cleaning feature to keep the bottle running well.I also tried to fit a regular water bottle into the center opening after removing the glass tube. Lucky for me, I happened to have a bottle adapter that let me fit my 16 oz bottle that had a small mouth diameter on a wider diameter female receptor on the base of the Lumière bottle. They gave me a fancy carrying bag which is practically useless for me but did not include the essential bottle adapter like the one I just mentioned.

Living in a hot, dry climate means you need good drinking water. This little machine is great when it comes to making delicious water that is thirst quenching and good for you. My only complaint is that it requires more power than my off grid system can sustain if we are using it more than once in 24 hours. If you live in the city or somewhere with unlimited power, then this is a great little device for you. Not so much for off grid or camping. Overall, 3 stars because we just can't utilize it as it should be used.
