To preface this review, I'd like to include that I daily drive an Apple Watch Series 7 41mm with a natural leather strap. I primarily use this Apple Watch for health and fitness tracking, so when testing out this Mibro GS Active, I was mainly testing the health and fitness tracking functionalities.This Mibro GS Active came with 2 different watch bands, a silicone strap, and a woven strap. Personally, I preferred the softer texture of the woven strap and it felt nicer when on runs.I never had an issue with screen visibility when using this watch. The 1000nit AMOLED screen was bright enough to use in sunny conditions.For the price, the watch is very feature-rich and allows for multiple ways to track health and fitness. The step tracking was pretty accurate to what my Apple Watch usually records, and the same with recording runs.The battery life is brilliant and can last a very long time even when using the health tracking functionality.I never had the opportunity to test the waterproofness of it so I can't speak on that. But overall this watch is amazing for the price and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a smartwatch to track health and fitness but don't want to spend a huge amount of money!

That being said, this review is NOT swayed by that, and (as always) contains only my real thoughts on the product; good and bad.]I requested the ‘Mibro GS Active smartwatch fitness tracker with built-in GPS Smart Watches for Women and Men’ for my other half as he needed a new watch and the compass will be handy when we are out walking.The watch arrived in a branded box with another (gift) box inside, which neatly presents the watch. It is like the seller's description in terms of how it looks, features etc. The seller doesn’t show the grey and orange strap which is actually the more comfortable of the two. It is very soft and fastens with Velcro pads. I have enclosed photos which I thought might be of interest to you? The straps are really easy to interchange, they have a small push pin to release them from the watch face, you can do this with your thumb nail.The watch functions are easy to set up, it looks great on my partner's wrist, it is quite large but not as chunky as some smart watches out there. The compass is clear and easy to read, even in bright sunshine. The fitness tracker and step counter appear to be accurate. It monitors blood oxygen levels too. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for and this watch is very good quality. For the price of £109.99, at the time of this review, I think it is good value for money. It feels sturdy and up to the tasks that you can request it to do. 5 stars.

I’ve tested many smart watches over the last few years both cheap and expensive ones and I got a decent general feel as to what to expect from it.This watch disappointed me as it’s listed for £107 at the time of the review and there are much cheaper watches that do more.In terms of build quality ,the screen is really bright and has excellent viewing angles but the case feels cheap and hollow. It’s a very light plastic. When holding this watch I definitely don’t think I’m holding a solid piece of kit/tech.The battery is also phenomenal. Had it for about 3 weeks and it’s still at 68% although I haven’t done much of any sports activity this month.The GPS is accurate and the sport modes are varied enough. That’s the bit that it does well and I have no complaints.Speaking of complaints:1. The screen brightness doesn’t adjust automatically.Even worse you have to go through 4 menus to eventually get to the brightness slider. I have no idea how they just didn’t think of this since it’s such a basic feature of pretty much any smart watch.2. It doesn’t do a good job at ignoring water on the screen. Every time I showered I found it somewhere in the menus.3. You cannot install any apps on it, it has no app store. If you have an app on your phone for fitness tracking/coaching you can’t use that. For example, on my Apple watch I use an app when going to the gym which allows me to progress through my workout without interacting with the phone (changing exercises, modifying weights, pause/start workout timers, etc). When hiking there are 3rd party apps that are amazing too. You’ll miss out on all of them because you simply can’t install any app on this one and you’re stuck with the default exercise modes.4. Similar to the point above, when it comes to notifications they’re just that- notifications. You cannot interact with them in any way apart from dismissing them.Not even quick reactions like a thumbs up.5.The screen is not always smooth. I’ve had plenty moments when I wanted to check my notifications and scrolling through them felt jarring. As if it’s not always quick to increase the refresh rate when waking up and it’s still stuck for few good seconds on low refresh rate to preserve the battery.Overall it’s not a bad watch if you only need it for what it does however it disappoints on basic functionalities and features, problems which other smart watches even 50-75% cheaper don’t have.
