Works great. Smells like manure, of course. Plants actually thrived on this.

Finely Ground Organic Compost
Dan's Gold organic dairy manure compost fertilizer comes in a 9 lb resealable bag. Since cows produce a lot of manure, I expected Dan's Gold to be more affordable but I thought that I would try it anyway. What's most noticeable compared to other composted manure products is that it's finely ground with no odor. When planting, I use a handful or two of composted manure as a top dressing. I also use it monthly to fertilize existing plants except for the summer when I use it more sparingly to prevent burning my plants. I appreciate the fact that it's an organic product, especially for my edible plants.

Your plants and soil will love it
When it comes to the edible plants (herbs, veggies, fruits) I am very picky about what I add into the soil. After all, that's what you are going to eat. This fertilizer is a golden standard of natural fertilizers. It's just done right and comes packed with the nutrients your plants need. Not just that, it will also feeds and promotes the good bacteria growth in the soil (speaking about regenerative farming and healthy soil). When compared to the more affordable chicken compost fertilizer, which generally has more nutrient values, I prefer this one. And the reason is simple. Chicken based compost fertilizer might be too strong for the roots, and when applied improperly can even damage them (more doesn't always mean better). Digestive system of chicken vs cows is incomparable. You get much cleaner and safer product from cows. In addition, cows compost can be used as an effective moisture retainer for your soil, since you can add more of that. At the end of the day, I am not a commercial farmer, so the price difference is insignificant. What you get is a peace of mind that your plants are happy and the soil is healthy while putting less effort. The product itself has a good smell (or no smell, depends how you think about it). Fine consistency. No garbage mixed in. You get top quality organic fertilizer.

Great manure compost!
This dairy manure compost is very fine in texture and easy to apply to my garden beds, and gave my climbing vines the nutrient boost they needed after the flooding rains of Beryl. My vines had begun to suffer and began to wither from the washout, but this compost and a layer of coir helped restore them in a short amount of time, and now all of my vines are bushy and blooming like crazy! This compost is low-odor and comes in a resealable bag, which is quite convenient for my needs. I'm happy with how well this compost is working for my garden and my plants love it.Soil Seed & Water Dan's Gold Organic Dairy Manure Humus Compost Fertilizer - Odor Free for Indoor and Outdoor Use - OMRI Listed

Maybe this product is good for some people but I just can't justify the price.

Organic fertalizer
Comes in 9 lb bag which they recommend 1 lb per sq foot , so will cover about 10 square feet. But you can use as you like to cover more space, or sprinkle onto individual plants or mix with your potting soil before you plant in the pots. No smell which is great, and easy to apply (I use gloves). Seems like they have a great processing plant, and it is much nicer than the bags of cow manure at the grocery store, which has "who knows" what other things are in it. It is organic and their processing plant is supplying great amendments for orgainic farmers. I'm just a back yard gardener, but love this product, and so do my plants.

Good quality but pricey
Not sure what aged compost is supposed to be , but I like that this fertilizer has a powdery fine texture, and is completely odorless. However, it seems expensive for the quantity. The bag was only half full when I opened it. And while I understand it’s sold by weight, not volume, I was still a bit surprised. I used it sparingly in my soil mix so i may not see a noticeable difference for a while. Will save it for my vegetable bed rather than basic garden/lawn use as bag suggests.
