This form of methyl folate vs. folic acid can cross the blood brain barrier and this is important since research has shown that getting enough methyl folate in your diet or through supplementation can reduce your risk of developing Alzheimer's Dementia. Also research has demonstrated that about 1/3rd of people suffering from depression are low in folate and was told by my doctor to supplement with folate. I buy several supplements from Horbäach including this one. I will again. It's easier to swallow thanks to the smaller capsule size.

I have the mthfr gene so it's hard for me to absorb folate. I have found this has helped me in several ways. I don't really know much about the mthfr gene and it's mutations. I'm trying to learn a lot more about it, because I guess it can really affect one's health. But it explains a lot.This brand has always been excellent. I have loved every supplement I've gotten from it. It all seems so well made and yet, not expensive.

This methylfolate supplement is great if you are looking for a very small dosage of it. The capsules are pretty small which is nice and if you open and taste them, they just taste like rice flour. I have tried a few other supplements from this company and really appreciate their high quality ingredients and lack of allergens. The one thing that makes me hesitate continuing to purchase is that the label doesn't state if it is the biologically active form of methylfolate (L-methylfolate) so I have to assume it's not.

The dosing is very easy to remember, the pill easy to take in. Directions and manufacturer information printed on the bottle and label. Horbaach is one of the companies I trust for supplements in the past, and these are no different. Folate B-9 now in my daily regimen and will continue to repurchase it down the line.
