The size information is NOT correct!
Would give zero stars if possible. I ordered these for my 13 year old arthritic dog who is a 25 pound Mini Aussie - Initially I was going to order based on size until I read the weight to size ratio information. I ordered size small because the info said small is appropriate for "a dog 25 to 45 pounds", these socks are so insanely TINY they literally wouldn't fit a cat. Not only that, but these are just regular old traction socks, not at all as described or pictured and not at all worth $30 frikkin bucks! The return policy is totally unreasonable and customer service is non existent. This is a scam. DO NOT BUY THESE SOCKS!!!

These are so helpful for older dogs having trouble getting up!
Am using these for our 2nd time…first tried when our senior Golden rescue had trouble getting up especially in tile floors. They were great! Now using for our 2nd senior Golden rescue and they’re really getting him through when he’s having extra bad times with his back legs. The nice thing for us, they give you 4 socks but our boys only have needed them on the hind legs, so basically we get 2 pair out of the purchase. Highly recommend!!!

Great idea but could stand a little modification to improve
I purchases these for my 12 year old Lab who has problems slipping and sliding on my hardwood floors. We have area rugs in each room but he was having problems even getting from room to room. He took well to the socks and will wear them with no problems. They work wonders for him on the hardwood BUT....since he does not pick up his feet completely (thus dragging his toes slightly)as he walks across any of the area rugs the slippers gradually slide off. With a little modification, like maybe Velcro at top of sock to help it stay up or making them longer so they come up over the hock, they would be perfect. Even at 12 he still thinks and acts like a 2y old so I have just invested in runners to get him from area rug to area rug.

Large Standard Slipper Socks for Dogs That Won't Stay On
Basically slipper socks for dogs that won't stay on no matter what you do, even if you try to tape them to their leg. If you've never tried slipper socks, they are thick, knitted socks + some rubber padding on bottom = slipper-like socks. I got these because my dog completely broke off a nail at base which made the quick (blood vessel & nerves) exposed. So any direct contact was extremely painful and caused them to lick the wound constantly. If quick get's infected can lead to bone infection. So part of treatment needed to keep wound clean AND keep poor pooch from licking off antibiotic ointment. These dog socks failed at all those goals except last.If your dog moves at all, as they flex their paw & leg, the socks will slide down and off (even if you combine with trying to medical paper tape sock to their leg). However, the elastic of the sock is good enough to cause you to try to squeeze and force their paw into stretchy sock while their nails hang up on all the stitching inside. So in my case, trying to put this on a dog with painful wound by myself made it an even more painful experience that made dog re-focus their attention on a wounded foot. After couple tries, I knew they wouldn't stay on for long but hoped I could slip then on before walking dog and they would last long enough to walk them and keep wounded foot clean. Best could get was 1/2 block before they slid off. Which was less time than they took to work them on and only to cause my dog more pain.Best use I could get out of these was to use them in house only to put medicine on dogs wounded paw and use as barrier to let it do its work before it fell off and dog could lick wound. Usually would be less than 1 hr unless dog was sleeping. I would seriously recommend putting on with 2 people. 1 to use both hands to expand sock so slips easily around paw & nails while another holds dog's foot still and steady.

Bait & Switch
The add to these socks give a weight of 130 -180 lbs.The socks weren't as the statement says. My 176lb IrishWolfhound feet were bigger than the socks. They were small size.

One suggestion for improvement
These are working well for my 11 year old Old Engiish Sheepdog but I do have one suggestion - like all dog socks, these will occasionally twist around his paw, putting the traction points on top of his paw. Why not put the traction material all the way around so that, no matter how much a sock gets turned, there is always traction?

Works great at first but the socks tend to twist around ...
Works great at first but the socks tend to twist around on the dogs feet with the tacky footing on top of their feet instead of under their feet which was meant to keep them from slipping. I always have to turn them back around which is quite annoying. They should also put the tacky puff paint all around the sock so when it turns around it won't matter and the dogs will still have traction. Also, after a little while of use the tacky part loses it's tackiness and the traction is lost. Had to buy another pair so they would have a backup while the first pair got washed. I am so so on how to review these socks. Three to four stars.

Sizing is wrong
The medium size that is rated for 45-75 pound dog was ridiculously small. You could barely put two finger sin the sock, had to order XL for a 40 pound Portuguese water dog

.
Very small, even in the large size. Dog's nails will ger through the fabric very fast.
