Pounded Yam Flour is a popular authentic West African staple food and is made by pounding dried yam and grinding it into a fine powdery texture. It is used to make a smooth soft dough commonly eaten with stews, soups and vegetable dishes. It is high in fibre and protein. A meal of pounded yam with vegetable soup provides a very rich and balanced diet. It is sometimes called Pounded Iyan (Iyan being the Yoruba word for Yam).

Only pure yam was used, no mixture of potatoes. Excellent product.
