This mask has now been through two week-long ski vacations in Colorado and one week-long ski vacation in Utah. Its been shoved in my suit case, in my pants pocket, in my jacket pocket as well as taken on and off many times. The great part about this neoprene mask is that it does not absorb water when its on your face until a cotton bandana would. These neoprene masks are almost a necessity on cold and windy days on the slope! This one has survived all its abuse and still looks almost new.

Hard to tell when wearing this that it's a skull face...I have a very smaller size melon and this although not tight around the sides of my head is tight on the bride of my nose..the way the mask is stitched the exit area of the nose or extends out pretty far and oddly enoughlow ...for the money it's a good deal but not impressed with the image at all...teeth on the skull sit just on or below my chin...forget about wearing glasses with this because the eye area or near the temples is pretty snugg and I would assume most would wear goggles anyway.After wearing it for a few minutes I noticed that there is not much give around the face. The paint or type of latex used to make the skull face is pretty strong. So strong in fact when you try and stretch it in those areas you are unable to. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing but bottom line for the money this isn't all bad. When opening the package it did mention that you could be seperately a two inch extender for the mask.Update...February 2015...after wearing this for a few years it seems to have broken in nicely and all the stitching has kept up very well despite a few washes..(let it air dry). The past couple of weeks have been dreadful and this thing has done a great job while using my snow-blower and the cold walks to and from work...it performs wonderfully!

With the recent outbreak of COVID-19 and NYC being the EPICENTER of the pandemic. I'm trying to do my part and be responsible by stopping the spread. I do my best to stay indoors...but I have ran out for essentials and what I see is alarming!!! People are not practicing Social Distancing AT ALL!!!! I was at the register in the supermarket and the person behind me was LITERALLY 2 INCHES AWAY FROM ME!!!! I basically turned to the person and asked them to back up I also reminded them there's a global pandemic...which then escalated into a full blown argument....that I needed to "STAY WOKE" and this is all a "HOAX" by the government to implement martial law🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️I'm not going to get into a physical/verbal confrontation with anyone because they refuse to do their part and respect the Social Distancing policy. Since everyone has hoarded all the masks here on Amazon this was the only one that was left I could get ASAP...I know it's not a proper mask...but it will stop any type of hand to face contamination 😷😷😷😷Stay Inside = Stop The Spread

It looks great, fits fairly well, and would probably be decent in keeping your face warm. It would be great for Airsoft, snowball fights, snowboarding, or any other sort of outdoor sports! Personally, I purchased it because it bears the closest resemblance to Ghost's mask (character from Modern Warfare 2).About the complaints re: the tight straps. I don't have a small head, but I don't have a very large head either, so if you're of medium size, it should fit fine. One improvement I'd make to this mask is widening the nose slit, as it's a bit tight, and creates some tension on the bridge of the nose. The only other annoyance is the fact that if you're wearing glasses with this, they WILL fog up very, very quickly thanks to the steam from your breath flowing upwards due to the non-breathability of the neoprene. The solution to that would most likely be more mouth-holes; however, I'm not certain whether that would necessarily help, due to the neoprene's lack of breathability.Overall, though, it's a definite recommendation for a cool-looking snow mask.

I bought it particularly because I wanted to be able to run outside when it gets cold without freezing my face. It covers the exposed parts of my face and allows me to breathe pretty comfortably. The smell is that straight out off the manufacturing line smell that makes me kind of nauseous when I run for more than a mile. Sometimes I have to take it off mid-run just so I can breathe fresh air, but it is a snap to put back on so that's only a minor inconvenience. Only thing that would make this better to me is to cover the neck, so I bought a balaclava to wear with this or instead of depending on the temperature since this is a little thicker and better insulated. Depending where I'm running they don't particularly appreciate the skull face mask, especially when their kids are outside, so I bought another less "scary" mask for those neighborhoods. Overall it does what I wanted it to with only a couple minor inconveniences. I would recommend this product.

Ill start off by saying that for the price this item is hard to beat at around $7 its a great deal.ive used this face mask in -6 degree weather and was very surprised at how well it worked my face did not get cold at all and I was in this weather for over 3 hours.In other reviews Ive read some spoke of a bad smell while the tried to use the face mask but Ive never noticed any kind of smell good or bad which I did wash the mask before I used it.The mask does snap together using velcro and the velcro seems strong Ive washed it around 10 times or so and its still working great.Id say give it a try and If it works to your liking Ive seen quite a few different styles here on Amazon all within the same price range.
