Easy to set up, clean aesthetic, nice small tank.
This tank was very easy to set up. I'm currently cycling it, so I don't have any fish in it, but I like the nice, clear view of the interior offered by the curved glass. Speaking of which, I saw that another reviewer mention that they weren't sure if the material of the tank was glass or plastic. I'm fairly certain it is glass, because of how cold to the touch it becomes when left alone for a while. It does sound surprisingly like plastic when tapped with fingernails, though!I haven't decided yet if I'll use a background with this tank. Since the back panel of the tank is a separate piece of glass (unlike the front and two sides) it does seem like a background would be well suited, but the white plastic braces of the frame that run down the corners might ruin the illusion that a good background can create. I might stick with hardscape and planting the interior. While this tank is on the smaller side at only 2 gallons, I'm thinking it's perfectly sized for handful Sapphire Shrimp or Cherry Shrimp. The built-in light in the lid will really show them off, and if I want to get fancy I can swap the LED fixture out sometimes for an RGB or UV-A unit the same size. I don't know that there are many fish species that I'd want to keep in a tank this small, but others might be interested in keeping species that I'm not looking to house. The only real negative that I see with this tank, other than the small size (which can also be a positive, for some people) is that the design of the lid portion (with the filter built into the lid, rather than into the pump) means that opening the top only grants access to half the tank. This means that any time you want to do a proper cleaning with partial water change, or if you're working on scaping or planting anything, you'll have to wrestle most of the gear out of the inside of the tank because you'll have to remove the entire lid. Either that, or you'll be working in a small space with an even smaller access. If you're into building tiny terrariums, I guess this might not bother you?Regardless I can't wait for this tank to finish cycling in a month or so, so that I can get to work on it!

Filter
I bought this filter for my grandson .. he was very excited and loved it once it was set up .. But the filter is to strong for his guppies... They are getting sucked up.... Is there any way to adjust the power? Also the set up instructions for the filter are not real clear ....

From excitement to disappointment
I was so excited to get this smaller tank in for my daughter’s fish. When we got it everything was fine. No damage at all from delivery. We finally set the tank up a day ago and when I came home today, it has a huge crack in the front of it and is starting to leak!

Great first tank.
The media could not be loaded. Won a goldfish at the fair. Had it in a cereal container it looked depressed. Now Darwin is a whole new fish. He’s loving the tank, he’s become so active and plays with the bubbles. Great beginner tank.

Perfect product
The media could not be loaded. The package is really careful; the filter is easy to set up in and works very quietly.

Bright attractive little tank
I know, I know, most fish lovers think that 2 gallons is not enough room for a fish, but this tank it really nice. I really LOVE the clean, crisp appearance of this tank.I would almost prefer a larger tank, but for small spaces, this is very nice.It is not too hard to assemble although the instructions for the filter were not 100% clear. I can imagine that it might be tricky to clean because the lid does not come all the way off of the tank. Only half of the lid opens up. I did rinse and wipe it down good before it was filled and it was tricky to reach the entire tank with the limited space. The light is nice and bright and although it is advertised as glass, it feels and appears to be plastic. We did get a Guppy fish for it but it got sucked into the bottom of the filter and died within the first 3 days.

Cute Tank, but has Limitations
This small 2-gallon tank fits easily on top of a bookcase, and has such a neat appearance, with its curved glass and white plastic accents. The LED light on the lid lights the contents beautifully, and the plants and glass stones that I am using to decorate the tank are featured beautifully in the clear light. I have a couple of neon tetras in the tank that seem happy with the amount of space that they have, especially the depth of this tank. However, there are some inconvenient features that make this...not the best small tank I have owned. 1) The lid and filter are attached to the tank permanently, making it hard to clean and even reach a hand or a net inside for cleaning. There is no way to choose an alternative filter, because 2) the filter intake pipe is too strong. After setting up the tank and putting in fish, one stuck to the intake pipe and died almost immediately. It may have been a weak fish to begin with, but I could see the other fish fighting against the current, too. There is no way to slow down the pump, so I put a foam filter on the end of the intake pipe to dampen the suction. And 3) Because the lid and filter are all one piece, there is no room to add anything else, like a heater, which this tank needs to maintain a tropical fish if you don't live somewhere warm. I was able to add in a small heater, but now the lid can't close all the way.It feels like so many issues with this tank could be resolved by just having a detachable, separate lid.
