Works fer'me!
Bought this wee Daoistek KVM dohickey to connect two PCs to one monitor. Didn't need anything too fancy or expensive. It's only been a few weeks since install, but all is good. Works like a charm - right out of the box. The respective cable connections are clearly marked for each PC. A wee green LED on the front tells you which PC line is active. Can't go wrong. When installing, I actually forgot to plug the USB power adapter into the power board - duh!! BUT. It didn't matter, it was getting sufficient power right off the PCs' USB bus. As said, it just went straight to work right out of the box. I've put the power cord and adapter back in the box. It's possible they may later be required should more than the standard keyboard and mouse be attached to the unit's four USB 3 front-side ports. The corded remote switch works. Not required here, but tested it anyway. There is a slight delay between the PCs' respective screen changes. That might be a negative for some, but matters not a jot to me. It handles the PCs' 'sleep modes' just fine too.Well made unit. Feels like a wee contender - and quite spiv looking. Small e'nuff to NOT be a desk hog. Bonus.

Extremely satisfied with this purchase.
After making the connections with my 2 computers, it worked perfectly.Seller is very generous in supplying all the cords you will need to connect your computers to the unit - all that is left for you to get is the cord from the unit to your monitor.I have 3 items plugged into the unit's USB ports (speakers, keyboard and mouse dongle) and all 3 worked perfectly right from the start.

Need an HDMI switch -- I did, and this worked perfectly! Great for Raspberry Pi (or SBC) work!
I've found myself getting into Raspberry Pi's and other SBC's recently, which is fine given my home office setup... But I've already got a 3-monitor desktop setup, and really didn't want to add *another* screen for a display for the Pi. So I figured, easy fix -- just plug it in to one of the extra ports on one of my monitors.Unfortunately the best monitor to use for this didn't *have* any extra inputs. So, time for an HDMI switch. The point of a switch is simple -- to allow you to plug in multiple devices to a single monitor/display, and switch between them. Think of a raspberry pi and a regular desktop, both displaying (alternatively) on a single monitor. Or an XBox and PS5 plugging in to your TV that only has a single HDMI port open. Do you want to have to get up and unplug and replug cables all the time? I know I don't, that's messy and annoying. So, you get a switch. You can spend hundreds of dollars on 'brand name' HDMI switches that offer all sorts of fancy features. But why? This does the same job as any of those, at a fraction of the cost. It supports 4K at 60Hz per side, so it may not be the best option if you're doing extensive video gaming with a 120Hz or 144Hz 4K display, but it's perfect for most non-gaming or fast-motion tasks. And it just works -- plug it in, connect it to a power source using the included USB-A-to-USB-C cable (it takes standard 5V DC, so any USB charger or computer USB port should work) and plug in HDMI cables, and there you go. Just hit the button on top of the switch to change your signal from one source to the other.Simple, basic, functional, and it doesn't break the bank. What more can you ask for?One note: There seems to be conflicting information on the resolutions and refresh rates this switch supports. The switch itself says '8K 60Hz' on the box. The description says '4K 120Hz' and '4K 144Hz' in the title, and in the posted information it muddies the water a bit further. I've tested it at up to 4K/60Hz on both PC inputs (and the single display output) and it works great there. I can't speak to any higher refresh rates or resolutions, as they're beyond what my system uses. The 1-star deduction was from the unclear data over the max resolutions/refresh rates.

Simple KVM for no frills monitor switching.
No complaints whatsoever about this KVM, it provides simple single monitor switching with ample USB inputs for all necessary devices. This a great way to organize a workstation with multiple PCs, and switch seamlessly between them.

Doesn't work for 3440x1440
Doesn't work for 3440x1440 ultra wide monitors, but it works for 4K monitors ok.

Great for my projector!
My projector only has one HDMI in port, so this comes in handy for plugging in my Chromecast and PS4 at the same time! It's easy to switch with just a button press, and I can power it with the USB port on my projector. It came with all the cable needed to set it up, too! Functionality aside, the green color is a little meh, kinda ugly. Kinda looks like a PCB, which is cool, but would prefer it be black with white text. Still, lots of possibilities with this!
