Chains are good quality. I have a long cargo bike and require 2 of these chains. More like 1 and a half, so 3 of the chains will be 2 replacements on my cargo bike. The cargo bike was converted to single speed and this chain is perfect for that. I would recommend as there is no issue with quality or durability here.

I'm using this for the drive chain on something other than a bicycle (home-made Halloween prop) but it uses all bicycle parts... Chain is clean, comes with the buckle piece so you can create your own custom length. It seems to be a lighter-duty chain, but I really don't know. It works for me, fits the sprockets and does the job.

The chain is fine, I actually used it on an 8 speed bike and got it to fit, except that I couldn't use included master link. Instead I had to break the chain and reinstalled it without a master link after getting to size. Even if it did work, I would have still preferred a quick link. It's still a perfectly functional chain, and does what it needs to do.

These chain repair tools feel sturdy. I got it to work on the kids bikes, and it’s been great so far. Definitely recommended.

If you're a serious rider, you need to get a chainbreaker and link pliers. Replacing your chain is not a question of if but a question of when. And when you do replace your chain, both of these as well as the included hooks, are vital tools to take off and resize a new chain to fit your set-up. This kit includes everything. It even includes a heavy, clunky chain that is more suitable for commuters or delivery folks. The tools function well and are nicely padded for comfort during use. This is a great deal.

My husband used this kit to change out his bicycle chain on a multi-speed bike. It was the complete kit with good instructions and he was very pleased with the results he had.The chain that came with the kit is for a single speed bike but he'll use that chain later on another bike. The kit was really easy to use and included everything necessary to remove an old chain and modify the new chain to the right length. He suggested that if you've never done it before, just take some pictures of how the chain is routed in case you get uncertain. The chain link tool worked exactly as shown in the instructions. It took a little bit of hand strength but once you get used to it, it's really easy. He also used the chain link tool on his own new chain to reduce the number of links from 116 to 106, which was again very easy to do. The tool kit comes with compression and spreader pliers that are essential when using snap together chain links. The kit also has a small wire hanger that can be used to hold the two open ends of the chain together while attaching them on the bicycle. The instructions of how to do this are all clearly spelled out.This product did what it intended to do, he had no complaints and so it receives five stars from us.

All my bicycles are multi-speed derailleur bikes, but this is still a virtually essential kit to have in the home repair shop. Nothing beats the right tool for the job, and chain quick links can be a real pain to undo without the purpose made pliers. And of course, the chain breaker is the only tool that works when shortening chains (Chain breaker pins can shear or bend, so it's nice that this one comes with a spare). For the bargain price of $16, you get both of these irreplaceable tools. Believe me, having them on hand will save you a ton of time, effort, and swearing when you try to work on your chain at home (on top of the savings from not having to make a trip to the nearest bike shop). I'm donating the included chain and quick links to a local bike charity, but the rest of this kit is absolutely well worth the money.
