The already cheap alternative made cheaper.
As an avid CD collector I know the difference between a shoddy plastic jewel case and a decent one - but even a decent one is the already cheap alternative to the card case a lot of artists choose to publish their work in - hence the title of this review. And considering it is the cheaper option, it bewilders me how these were made to be even worse than others that I've tried. For starters, although none of them were broken, some did have a few minor marks upon them before I'd even touched them - which suggests poor handling straight from the production part of the chain. The main reason I bought these in the first place was to replace scratched / very dirty cases in my collection, so that slightly defeated the point in buying them. Secondly, they have an awkwardness with closing sometimes. Usually I can just snap a jewel case shut without really thinking about it, but with these I am often running my fingers along the side to check they are shut completely. Finally they don't seem to "mix" well with other cases - ones that you would assume to be of the very same make at first glance. If it's just the front cover of the case that needs replacing on one of my older CDs, for instance, and I take one from this package to apply to it, I guarantee it will either not fit or have increased difficulty opening & closing if it does fit.The one saving grace for this product is that it is well priced for it's amount, and if you're intending to make copies of something or house your own work and you are on a budget, these will do. But if you have a bit of breathing space financially, fork out and go for something a little pricier. The smaller packs of 10 to 25 cases by other distributors tend to be higher quality.

Passable Replacements But Quality Not That Great
Just about passable as a case. Was suspicious about them when a lot of them arrived damaged and with no obvious damage to the outer packaging. So they don't stand up to being thrown around by courier companies. They seemed a bit light and flimsy to me but as I say, passable. I didn't want the CD tray itself, just the clear plastic outers to swap over my well used old cases. After weighing them, without the CD tray, the clear plastic rear and front weigh in at 36g. The originals I am replacing weigh in at 60g and the plastic isn't as brittle. The new ones will shatter very easily if not dismantled with extreme care. Overall I was disappointed in the quality but they will do for the time being until I can source cases of a better quality.

very nearly perfect
these are very good cases, they arrived in one piece which is unusual for this type of product, not one broken piece, so the packaging did it's job well. the plastic is fairly thin but they do the job. the fronts are nice and clear. i do have an issue with some of them getting caught as you open them, but it is a very minor point and does not stop them from doing the job. possibly caused by a rough edge alonge the hinged side of the front piece. they would have got 5 stars if it weren't for that. but overall a very good product, perfect for replacing damaged or broken cases in your collection.

Jewel cases
Good quality, not many damaged in transit, reasonably priced & promptly delivered

Be gentle with these ones, they're quite fragile.
A tad over-priced, I must say. The box came all beaten up as if it had been kicked around either the warehouse, post sorting office or whilst in transit. The cases stick a bit when you try to open them. You have to be really gentle with them as the plastic is very thin (not that I'm a heavy-handed person) and the centre plug thing that holds the disc is not big enough to properly secure/fit a disc onto. Other than that they are fine.

OK but easy to break too so beware
You have to be extremely careful when opening and shutting these case they break easy. Not very strong at all. Once you have your sleeve and booklet in your out of danger unless you drop one or put something heavy on top of one they will again break easy. Other then that they are ok for the price.

Poor quality, flimsy, many broken
These really are very flimsy, easily broken, and even for a 'cheap' case are poor quality. About 12 of the 100 were already broken on arrival, and the first two I tried to use just fell apart in my hands. They may be ok if you want a throw away case, but they're no good for keeping. I purchase online music and often burn to CD to play in the car. These cases are not even up to that.
