Unfortunately, when the linament arrived the bottle top had been slightly cracked in transit, causing a small amount to spill out into the box. It was only a very small amount, so I didn't bother complaining or anything. A dab of superglue fixed the bottle top.I've had really bad pain in my shoulders. For some reason this flares up every September and lasts for a couple of months. I have no idea why, but this year's been the worst, forcing me to take both codeine phosphate and paracetamol.Anyway, the product arrived a week earlier than expected, which I was pleased about. The linament has a strong but not unpleasant aroma. Think of linament with a clove or cinnamon twist.Being a linament, I expected to feel the heat as soon as I applied it, but I didn't. I was starting to wonder if it had been a waste of money, but then, after about fifteen minutes, the skin on my shoulders started to feel pleasantly warm. After another ten minutes or so, the pain started to subside. It's now been 35 minutes and the pain has almost gone completely. I can now feel the heat in the underlying tissue. The nearest analogy I can give is that it feels like having a hot water bottle lying on the affected area.This doesn't smell like Tiger Balm - which I also really like - and it seems to work much quicker.I've had stuff from my doctor, but it didn't make much impact so I stopped using it. This, on the other hand, really DOES work - at least it does for me. One bottle contains quite a bit of liquid so I think it'll last for quite a while. When it runs down I'll definitely be ordering more.
