I like them
They take a little practice but they're easy to install. Have something small, such as a pair of tweezers, to 'stuff' the end of the lace inside if necessary. Start by bending the tab on the side, overlap the sides if needed, then gently squeeze the ends together for a tighter fit. Squeeze it from different places to round it out. No special pliers are needed.

Making my own shoe laces now
They worked. I thought maybe the diameter should be smaller, but all aglets of this type have this diameter, as far as I can tell. Easy to put on. Allows me to customize my lace length. Would buy again, but I will probably never run out.

Solid product
My dog chewed the ends off a couple pairs of shoelaces and these did the trick to replace them. I didn’t have any trouble crimping them on with a pair of pliers. They seem to stay on well so far, I may update after a little longer.

Practical and inexpensive
We needed shoe laces in bright colors for our quilt to raffle and the shoes we used for centerpieces and decorations. We looked for shoelaces and had to buy too large a quantity and could not find the right sizes. We purchased these shoe lace tips and brightly colored cording and it was perfect! The laces can be any length we want, in any color we want and look very finished.

Almost but not quite
These are easy to use but once you clamp them on I don’t feel like they look nice. They get the job done but they look like a three year old put them on. I will keep trying different ways to clamp them to see if I can make them look more professional.

Make a shoe string from anything.
You can finish a ribbon, leather, plastic, lace, anything with this little aglet and have a finished “shoe lace”, which can be used for anything. I finished 12 ribbon streamers to go around the neckline of a halter top. Turned out beautiful and so professional looking. I do not have a special pair of pliers, but these bend so easily that you can actually use your fingers. Needle nose pliers worked okay, but i may invest in some crimping pliers for future use so that it doesn’t dent the metal.

Not secure
Not a perfect fit for shoelaces. I tried to put these on 6 pair of sneaker laces, and ALL of them have slid off. I have a “crimper” tool, as well as numerous jewelry making supplies, and have tried all to have the tightest fit possible but with no luck. I’ve even smashed (with a crimper tool AND pliers) a few flat and they still loose and are not secure. Will have to use super glue, but for the extra added work, I might as well gone with a more polished, slightly more expensive looking set. Also these come mixed in a bag, not the organized box set as shown.

but could be better. If they had a specific set of pliers ...
Okay, but could be better. If they had a specific set of pliers to grab the aglet in a manner that helps it retain its cylindrical shape, they would be better. You have to use regular pliers to crimp them down so they don't grab the shoe string evenly. I lost one after a week, but there are plenty in the pack. Not bad for the price.
