IceToolzCable and Spoke Cutter | Pro Shop Tool for Shimano SIS SP | Inner Wire and Outer Casing Reconditioner

I'm not a bike mechanic, and maybe just a little more than an ordinary bike enthusiast. I do like to do my own work though, especially when it is pretty straight forward. I was hesitant to get a specialized tool for the job. I have hundreds of tools at my disposal, and wire cutters for electrical wiring are included in my box. I tried cutting the brake cables with these first, and man, it was sloppy. I don't want to say impossible because I'm sure I could have shredded my way through somehow, but it would've left a mess of strands at the end. I'm sure I could've gone through with a Dremel, but then what about cutting the rubber hose? It might not have been too melted or misshaped, but why make a mess of it? And besides, I have enough experience to know that having the right tool can make life so much easier.And easy it was! The tool clipped the cables with hardly no effort. When it came time to crimp off the end cap, once again this tool did everything it needed to do.Could I have gone with a cheaper tool? Perhaps. But from reading the reviews on those tools they seem like a one and done device. I'd like to have a tool that will be available for future use. I might not need to work on my bike much, but if I can save friends a few bucks by doing cables for them, then all the better.

I was pretty shocked at how much some cable cutters cost. IceToolz's was in the middle of the road as far as price, and since I have had success with the company's Ocarina Torque Wrench, I decided to give it a shot.Cut through housing and cable easily. The integrated housing reconditioner is awesome as well. I did struggle with the crimper, but that could be user error - plus I don't care how "pretty" the crimps are, so I just used another part of the tool to finish off cable ends. I did dock one star because I some competing tools look to have a more solid crimper (at the expense of a worse reconditioner and at a higher price).Overall, I recommend this tool.

These cutters did a great job on cutting both casings and cables. I really like the functionality of the reconditioner. I was able to get a clean cut and then easily round out the casing ends. I'm glad I got this one, versus a more expensive option, as it does everything well that I need it for.

These are very good quality cutters. They are a better size than the Park cutters which seem too big for my hand. And it is very handy to have the little spike to open and condition the freshly cut end.

Ottimo e pratico, io ho usato il puntalino per dare una leggera allargatina del dopo taglio sui tubi idraulici shimano ultegra (ovviamente non l'ho usato anche per tagliarli), e si può usare anche per crimpare i capi corda. Lo consiglio

Impeccable pour couper proprement câbles et gaines. Permet également d'arrondir la gaine écrasée par la coupe et de sertir les embouts de câble. Aucun problème pour changer mes câbles de dérailleur et de frein. Je recommande également la clé dynamométrique de la même marque pour l'entretien vélo.

RAS, la pince est solide, coupe bien et pour le "certissage" des embouts de câble elle fait ça nickel
