I have an older electric range/oven with those heating coils you set your cookware on top of. It is not all that nice to look at and you only have a heating dial you have to guess at for temp out of experience from using it. And sometimes you have to reseat the heating coils to make better contact to get the electricity for heat which you can't always tell is not heating even when the dial is in the on position. Plus it can get pretty messy when doing some cooking and not all that easy to clean. With these newer counter top electric stoves you do away with those annoying heating coils and difficult to clean areas for an all flat based stove that is easy to clean, attractive to look at, and ride yourself of all the temperature dials for a newer visual touch sensor control system. I like that the ceramic radiant heat centers heat up faster than the old style heating coils. And it also adds additional functions like a timer function because with electric stoves unlike with a visual gas flame, you can forget to turn it off when busy or preoccupied. This is not a plug in unit as supplied. It is set up for hardwire to box, but of course you can put your own properly match 220v plug on it to match a corresponding receptacle.

This little glass top burner is pretty powerful. It may be small in size, but it is 3200W, making a 220V line necessary. It is hardwired, and was a straight forward installation. Didn't run into any problems. The sliding controls keep this stovetop completely smooth, no controls popping up. Compatible with most cookware, dual heating zones so each burner is independently managed. I am very happy with this stovetop.

Excellent cooktop that is high quality and performs magnificently. It heats up quickly and is easy to clean. It also looks amazing. Excellent value for the money!

This little stovetop is awesome! Works perfect for a small mini house build - it looks so nice and high end compared to the other options that I was looking at! Absolutely fantastic! And it works really well too - the burners get hot and they are a good size. I am already planning on looking at integrating this stovetop into future builds, I liked it that much. I am very happy with this purchase. Since I am already planning future orders, I can definitely say that I would recommend this for others as well. 10/10 this is a great purchase, and especially at this price point!

I liked the modern look to it. It is beautiful and will enhance any kitchen. It is small and compact with easy to use and regulate controls. There is a safety lock that when used will keep you from accidentally turn on when cleaning and is good for those who have small children around. Easy touch controls give cooktop a sleek and modern look. This cooktop is powerful and get very hot quickly. Plus we were able to maintain the cooking temperature desired easily.Know that the cooktop requires a 220V connection so better get a professional electrician to do your install. We love it and highly recommend.

The build quality feels solid and durable, and the touch controls are responsive and intuitive. installation was straightforward, and the cooktop fit perfectly into the existing cutout in my countertop. it provides everything needed for efficient and enjoyable cooking.

So this works well but had to have a licensed electrician install it due to the 220v. It does work well but the market is flooded with other options a bit cheaper. Good but a 115v would have been better.

La sto usando nella casa al mare, in terrazza, per non scaldare l'interno dell'appartamento (non ho l'aria condizionata) quando preparo il pranzo o la cena.Non si tratta di una piastra a induzione (per me é un vantaggio), funziona a resistenza elettrica.Posso usare tutti i tipi di pentola, a patto che abbiano il fondo piatto. Il riscaldamento é più lento rispetto al gas, ma una volta portata in temperatura la pentola si cucina benissimo.Rispetto l'induzione é un pò più lenta e consuma di più.Di solito il punto debole di questi piani di cottura sono gli interruttori di tipo touch, che con le mani bagnate funzionano male. Questa funziona meglio rispetto ad altri modelli, ma ovviamente soffre anche lei di questa problematica.Le finiture sono ottime, il vetro temperato ha un buon spessore.Si hanno nove livelli di temperatura, e dispone di un sensore che la spegne nel caso si tolga la pentola.Va montata a incasso sul mobile, io mi costruirò qualcosa a doc in legno, in modo da renderla trasportabile.Spero di esserti stato utile.

Induction cooking first timer here. I was sad to see my trusty old pots out to pasture because they can't do the induction hustle. In case you didn't know, if the base of your existing pans are magnetic, and are flat, you're good to go. My old pans shrugged as I stroked each one with the magnet of destiny. No fiesta baby. Goodbye special frying pan, sayonara beautiful wok. Thank you for your service.So now you gather yourself, and hunt down some induction loving pots. Got me a six pack bundle of granite covered recruits. They look good, but it will take time to feel the level of affection I didn't realise I had for the old crew. Wish I'd appreciated them more, maybe flowers and a movie occasionally.So I've lived with this hob for a week at the time of writing and, the smoked glass finish looks good. Turn it on it displays a 'L', with the child lock button needing pressing for a few seconds before you can do anything. The zones are 2x 1800W and 2x 1400W. Each zone can be used separately or you can combine the two on the left (1800W+1400W) for handling larger cooking surfaces. The touch slider control works well. Slide or single touch anywhere along it to set a level. Yes, the timer works, cutting power on the zone when done. Additionally an 'H' illuminates to show you which zones are still hot after every use, and the fan, at least so far, hasn't been noisy for me.First testing involved using the smallest new pot, boiling via each individual zone, and it failed to detect the pot on two of them. If the zone doesn't detect a pot, there is nothing to heat, so it just flashes an indicator at you while wondering what you've been drinking. After a few times of scratching my head and retrying Homer Simpson style, it turns out that only the lower power zones (1400w) can handle the smaller pot bases. That may prove a useful tip for some people. Also, if you've lifted a pot for a bit of a shake during cooking, it'll just continue heating once the pot is back on the surface.I wondered if being limited to two active zones at a time might pose a problem, but the reality is I hardly ever used more than two rings on the go with the gas cooker anyway. So no, nothing that can't be worked around on the odd occasion for me personally.After coming from gas rings, my only thing really is getting the shine on the glass surface when I'm done. Glass is unforgiving when it comes to smudges and you tend to be more particular about it.Does the hob work? well yes. There is no drama, it heats the pots and cooks the food. I haven't used a more powerful unit before, however, although my heart still pines for my old pots, my first foray into the world of induction cooking hasn't been too bad with this hob, so far.If my views change, I'll do an update.
