Fresh as you grind it
That smells coming out of the seeds while grinding is so fresh & taste is super great 👍

Good quality
These cumin seeds are carefully packaged in sturdy light-blocking packaging with a zip top. The seeds have a good fragrance and when toasted in oil have the characteristic earthy, warm flavor. They're good-quality pantry-staple level spices.

Good, fresh cumin seeds
Mine came in a thick mylar bag. There was a pull strip on the front of the bag to open it (don't make the mistake of cutting off the top!) There is a zipper type seal under the pull strip you can use to reseal the bag and keep it fresh. I think this is a good value for a pound of seeds and will last a long time. The cumin has a strong aroma and seems fresh. I tried it out by taking a teaspoon of the seeds, toasting them in my frying pan to bring out the flavor and then grinding them up into a turkey burger along with some paprika. The end result was a very flavorful turkey burger! I think next time I may use a bit more than a teaspoon because a teaspoon of seeds doesn't equal a teaspoon of powder when it's ground up.If you need to grind up the seeds, a mortar and pestle is best for a small amount. You can also grind them against a cutting board with the back of a spoon. If you want to grind up a lot at once, an electric coffee grinder or spice grinder is better. It's a great seasoning for a lot of food, if you're using it in something that cooks/simmers for a while you probably don't need to toast or grind it first.

Just the thing when you want freshly ground
We use cumin in all kinds of dishes, but we usually get it pre-ground, and by the time we hit the bottom of the bottle it has lost a bit of its zing. These seeds are well packed, and by keeping what we don’t in the near-term vac-sealed, they last a long time. I can grind it in a pestle fresh, and it really jumps out in our dishes.

100% fresh cumin seeds.
This is a large package of raw whole cumin seeds. They come in a vacuum sealed pouch, which is resealable. I use a lot of cumin while I cook since I enjoy the flavor. It's so nice to get some fresh cumin. I just tossed all the old and will be replacing it with this. These seeds are very aromatic and flavorful. I will be using this for Mexican food, lamb, hummus and Indian food. Cumin is wonderful in root vegetable dishes and soups. I like the whole seeds and do not always grind them since they offer a texture to my dishes. I think that the price is very fair for the amount you get.

HUGE BAG
I love cumin and using cumin seeds just don't do so all that much. They have a very dominate flavor if you are not careful can take over a dish. My small bag in spice cabinet is so old I don't recall when I bought it from some bulk foods. Getting this product I can clearly see my current cumin is outdated. These are fresh and inviting. However there is a TON. I could supply the very bulk food section of my local market. Thinking about sharing with family as is way too much for me. If you buy, toast on stove in a pan, then grind in coffee grinder to make ground cumin. The Mrs suggested I use the seeds in a loaf of bread???

Aromatic and a large supply
This bag of “Herbalia Whole Cumin Seeds” is huge, 1lb is a lot of cumin seeds! The resealable bag is easy to open and seems to reseal well. Expiration date (probably should say “best by”) is 3 years in the future. Grinding some for our chicken and rice, or just gently breaking them up for our roasted potatoes, these provide a satisfying fresh scent and flavor.
