Q: Will this work on natural grass to mark fields?

The RollMaster 1000 is designed solely for Pavement surfaces. However, if you are looking for a field marking machine at a similar price, the FieldLiner 3 would be the ideal machine for you. The problem with using a roller to stripe fields is that it would push the grass blades over as you go, and therefore, it would only paint just one side of the blade. So the RollMaster 1000 would not be compatible with field painting applications. The FieldLiner 3, on the other hand, sprays the paint which creates an even coat on both side of the blades. It is also specifically designed for athletic field use.

Q: Is the machine narrow enough to fit between 2 parked cars?

Yes. The compact design of the RollMaster is ideal for tight jobs, and it is commonly used to get in between cars. It can stripe a line up to 6 inches from whatever wall/car/obstacle you are painting next to. If you need to get closer than 6 inches, you may want to considering adding the Left Side Roller Kit, which allows you to get up to 1 inch from whatever wall/car/obstacle you are painting next to.
