Osprey Hydraulics Hose Magnet Kit

I bought this to use on an older Nathan hydration pack and it’s works great. The magnet is powerful so I don’t have to look down when needing a drink or when putting the hose back. No issues with it moving. Highly recommend.

Bought a couple of these and they’re great, though I have a few minor concerns if you don’t research first. 1.) Check compatibility with your water bladder and hoses if not using the Osprey bladder. I had a few free “camelback” ones and this was too small of diameter for some of their hoses, though these worked great with other ones. Won’t be an issue if you use the intended bladder but I know people mix/match gear. 2.) Connector magnets works well but be sure about proper location on bag strap. Make sure it isn't a spot with too much movement or interfering with gear. (ex. I put one on my hunting pack on the right strap and then my shotgun gunstock regularly knocked it off, doh!) 3.) That it is always connected to a hose or it can pop off and get lost easily. Learn from my mistakes so you don’t need to buy replacements.

Fits great on 3/4” webbing. Strong. The tube clamp is for 3/8” OD. Platypus or Osprey.

These have been a good addition to my family's backpacking gear (I bought one for each loadout).While the magnets are strong and work well, the clasp tends to come off the backpack strap fairly easily. There's a slot in the clasp that is designed to allow the strap to slip through when installing. Unfortunately, it also slips OFF on its own during normal use. We ended up using some tape to close the gap after installing. Not the end of the world, but it's definitely something that could use a redesign.FYI: For those who have CamelBak bladders with thicker tubes (like we do), these will still work. You just have to twist the magnet around the tube as you push (this slightly "opens" the clamp as you twist). Twisting the wrong direction has the opposite effect, so it only works one way. It's a bit fiddly, but once it's where you want it, it works fine.

The media could not be loaded. This is an absolute must have if you use a hydration bladder! You’ll never again be reaching for an elusive hose to get some water. I was originally going to purchase the Camelbak brand version but this one was a few dollars cheaper, has better reviews, & is a smaller better looking product. Being that I only have this one I cannot compare the two but I can say that this Osprey one does not disappoint. I’m a hiker/backpacker & also carry a small pack daily & the magnet has not once failed me. Its a very small product & is very light. It’s universal for any brand bladder/pack. The opening looks too small to fit your hose tube but I had no issues at all opening it to slip inside the hose for my Camelbak bladder. It’s a nice snug fit but you can slide it around if needed to reposition it, although it will not move on it’s own. As for the other part that attaches to your pack strap-it’s very easy to attach & I haven’t had it fall off or move around. They sell extras of just the strap piece so you can have one for each pack if you have more than one which is very convenient . I prefer to attach it to my chest strap & it fits perfect on both my Osprey Daylite daypack (pictured) & my NevoRhino 50 liter for backpacking trips. All my friends were envious on our last hike as they were constantly reaching around for missing hoses behind their backs but mine was always secured right where I wanted it. You can even use it hands free depending on the position of your strap. This is such a small & inexpensive way to make your life better so just go ahead & spend the $8!

It works as expected. Little tight, but I got it to work on one of my ticker tubes.

I used these to upgrade the drinking hose clips on my Mosko Moto tank bag. They work perfectly, provide easy release of the hose and keep it securely in place when riding.

Easy to install on a backpack breast strap. Strong magents keep the tube in place.

I liked it so much, that I ordered another on for my second pack.

Ho acquistato la sacca idrica Osprey ed ho acquistato anche questo come accessorio perché necessario a fissare il tubo allo zaino, al fine di non farlo penzolare di qua e di là nelle escursioni. Ma in effetti il magnete era incluso nella confezione della sacca. Purtroppo non era specificato nella descrizione.Quindi, se acquistate la sacca é inutile aggiungerlo al carrello. Io lo terrò di scorta.
