Fun drum kit for role play but only 50 cm tall, suitable for 3 or 4 year olds. Great cymbal !
This review is for "Kids Drum Kit, Jazz Drum Set for Toddlers Baby Musical Drum Toys 5 Drums with Stool Pedal."This is a fun drum kit for very young children. I originally chose this for my six-year old son as he loves playing around with my snare drum, but it turns out not to be suitable for six year olds - it is just too small, at only around 50cm high. I would say it is suitable for 3 or 4 year olds.The drums are very plasticky and dont really make much of a drum-type sound....it is really just noise but good for role-play and have a good hit. The cymbal, however, is excellent and makes a fantastic crash sound thanks to its loose rivets which make the sound reverberate and last.The set comes with a little stool which is strong enough for a small child to sit on.As is often the case with toy listings, the seller cannot make up their mind about the age range - in different parts of the listing it is described as 3-6, 3-5, 2-6. In my opinion 3-4 is the correct range.The price at the time of review was around Β£26 which is fair value for this type of toy. If it was on promotion then it would be good value. I drop one star rating for the over-ambitious age range, as I think this would make some people make inappropriate buying decisions. For a 3 or 4 year old it would make a lovely gift and I rate it four stars.
