Really great anatomic model for any A&P class, speech therapy, etc
I used to teach medical school and now I'm teaching science for 3rd through 12th grade. I work from home and I'm always looking for good models to use because nothing beats hands on, but second best is using my document camera or webcam and demonstrating everything on a model using my hands. Just looking at a video never seems to work as well for my students.I'd been eyeing larynx models for several years because I love to teach how we make speech. This is an area that's rarely covered but incredibly fun because students can feel their vocal cords from the front of their throat and learn about voiced and non-voiced sounds, etc. And of course, most people have no idea where their thyroid is or what the hyoid bone is, or anything much in their neck even though it's right there, easy to see and reach. This model is beautiful. It's large and very detailed. It comes apart!!! But it also stays together!!! That seems like a small ask but most of my models don't come apart at all, which decreases what I can do with them, and those that come apart usually just fall apart randomly, which is really annoying. This is held together by magnets (not little bits of plastic that come out, like many models). Each side has slightly different features, which is nice because no teaching opportunity is wasted. It's very hands on, I can easily touch and turn and hold every part.It stands up really nicely. I keep all my models on shelves and some of them have to lie down because they tip. This one has a really thick support, not just a little peg. Which is good, because it's quite large.I am actually following this brand now and watching for anything they come out with because I've been so happy with multiple models from them now. I highly recommend any of their models but I especially appreciate some of the more unusual, detailed ones that you can't easily find elsewhere.

Probably the best larynx teaching model I've been able to use
Good price and really nice representation of the structure of the larynx. The nerves and arteries are well-shown, the magnetic pieces fit together nicely and offer a variety of views of it. It isn't perfect, the arytenoid cartilages are barely visible and the lower part of the true vocal fold is not muscular, but otherwise it is phenomenal.
