I got this for my husband after he hinted about it repeatedly. To say he loves it would be an understatement. He only does small welding repairs and projects and he says it works perfectly and is much handier than the tombstone welder he used in the past. The latter is getting a for sale sign, because this does everything he needs!

I used this for the first time. Although it took a minute to figure it out it worked great. I'd just suggest you buy a good welding helmet and gear. It comes with cheap stuff. I used it on setting 3 with the small rod and was alittle hot but put down a good weld. I'd suggest 2 with the smaller rod.

i saw a youtube video on these and it demonstrated how well it worked, but, when i got it and tried it, it was a total failure, so low powered it cannot stop sticking on the touch, won't do a continuous burn, just like the one i threw away that was old technology. i thought the new IGBT tech was going to make things better, but i was wrong, still proves, low power won't make magic happen. price and delivery were good but it doesn't weld so , waste of money and time so far

Little sucker works awesome! Opened and tried it out immediately. Nice and easy. Don't need to drag out the heavy welder for a quick fix!

Never welded before. My grandson has an electric 4-wheeler that had the front wheel axle come loose from the steering arm. Instead of the warranty replacing it, the company gave me a refund. I bought this welder and never welded before. In 5 minutes, I made a perfect circle around the steering rod. The 4 wheeler has been ridden for over 4 hours and the weld has held so far. It took me longer to grind off the old weld and prep surface for my quick weld job. It paid for itself and I still had money left over from the refund.
