I did the job myself. The plumber wanted 300 dollars, and had to put hole in wall to replace the whole thing. When asked why they could not replace internal stem and seals .???, he said we don't do that.

Part matched original OEM and installed easily.

I installed very easily. It was just a little difference The old one the seal end was stable. The new part swiveled a little bit, but works great.

Corrosion usually seal the screw and it is impossible to remove it

Make sure you measure the stem and read the description before ordering. But the right one came and it worked great!

Bit confusing at first to figure out what part you need. I called the manufacturer. Basically measure the existing rod and subtract 1-7/8" for the handle. Therefore, 13-7/8" rod is for a 12" faucet and so forth. Took 5 minutes to replace with no problems. Check if vacuum breaker works before installing cap.

It worked on a pre-Model 14 version, only two problems:Zero instructions (lazy) and make sure you also have the rebuild kit, before inspecting the stem, because the "packing material" you'll need to remove is actually part of the leak prevention system and you'll need the rubber seal (sold in the kit for Model 14/17) to replace it.Again... nobody to warn me because NEITHER had appropriate instructions! Watch YouTube videos in lieu of decent instructions from Woodford.But most importantly... the stem and rebuild kit worked. Leak stopped fast.
