My wife and I host a brunch every week at local cafe and love to bring simple card or board games to play while waiting for food. We are both lovers of scrabble and have a tiny portable scrabble game that we've tried to play before, but this is so much better. Without the need for a board, this travels very well, and adds a great new dynamic with the ability to play diagonal words that was not present in Scrabble.We've been enjoying it so much that we're probably going to grab an additional set to play at home on larger tables with more players. Even with the limited tiles, this still works pretty well for our purpose with up to 3 players at the cafe, but to play a full length game you need more than one set.The only con here is that, as a TTRPGer, I found the rules document to not be quite thorough enough to directly address every situation that came up (e.g. how to determine who goes first).

My thirteen year old son and I enjoy playing a quick game after dinner, and as it is marketed as a "Travel edition", I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a trip or to a restaurant. It could also be a good item for use during pediatric therapy session (or adult occupational therapy sessions for that matter). Similar to Scrabble in concept, this is a straightforward game where players compose words and subsequent players can add on to it, going laterally, horizontally and diagonally. The scoring and rules are easy to learn, so you can pretty much open the bag and go. My game had some poorly printed tiles but these were just a few and it doesn't impede the play.

I love word games — pretty much any word games! And knowing I can play Word Snap by myself, means I don’t have to wait for someone else to play with me, since I know no one who gets into word games like I do.At first, when I started forming the words, I didn’t see much of a challenge in it, and I love a challenge when it comes to words. But as I added more and more words, I could see the care you have to take in putting the words in the right place. Now I’m hooked on this game, and I definitely recommend it!

This WordSnap, Word Game, Travel Edition - Bonus Pack is similar to scrabble however it has an added dimension where you can place your tiles diagonally given how they can be connected. You can still play tiles vertically or horizontally like Scrabble. This is the travel edition which comes in a re-sealable bag vs the tin can that comes in the regular version. The travel edition has 50 pieces compared to 100 of the regular version so this is more compact. These tiles are made of a flexible plastic and connect/snap together easily and they hold well. This can be for adults or kids alike and is meant to be played on a flat surface. Overall, this is a great fun family game that can provides for hours of entertainment while each game lasting ~20 minutes.

Fun for kids and adults! Pieces snap together very well. Need a hard surface to play on. Was too large for us to bring on our trip though - pretty large for a travel size.

I am so glad I ordered this game. I originally ordered it to use for travel. It is perfect for travel. It is lightweight, easy to clean and the pieces fit together perfectly. The game is easy to play and my husband and I had lots of fun in our hotel room on raining afternoons. (We kept score on my phone.)I think there are great possibilities for this set. I think it would be great to take in a purse and use it to entertain small children while waiting.. i.e. let them reach in the bag, pick one out and name as many animals that start with that letter.I not only recommend this set, I am ordering 3 more sets to give as Christmas gifts.
