This is the second replacement pump I've had to buy for my cat water fountain, and it's only been a few months since I purchased the fountain itself. That's a bit concerning, as it suggests the pump's lifespan is relatively short. To make matters worse, the cost of this replacement pump is nearly as much as the entire fountain, including the original pump. On the bright side, this pump works just fine and was easy to install. I'm hoping it will last longer than the first one. Overall, I'm giving it 3 stars - it's an okay product, but the durability and value could be better.

Ok, I bought this to replace filter in stainless steal cat fountain, looks exactly like filter I replaced. The (old ) filter that came with fountain I thought had stopped working, just a dribble came out, so I cleaned it and worked for about a day at full stream, then went back to dribble, this is when I bought this new one. It worked fine for about a month then started same thing old one did, only with this one slimed yuck started to collect all over fountain and filter.. In other words, this filter did NOTHING to stop this slime. I have removed all parts to the fountain and now just using the stainless steal bowl for their water. It's easier to just clean container and change water every day then to take apart the whole fountain and clean it, not worth it. I believe these cat water fountains are a big waste of money
