Simple Concise recipes, but no pictures.
I love to cook. I love to cook healthy food and I love getting creative with simple basic ingredients. That's why I was so excited to look at this book and I was doubly excited because it was free! Reading through this book was interesting. It's not my favorite, but it has some good things:Pros:- I like that the book has weekly meal plans in it. I know that it is getting more and more common to stop planning your meals out and just go out to eat instead. I have nothing against that, but Having meal plans in place can help with eating out too much .- I like the ideas of healthy desserts that were represented. I also like that the recipes weren't complicated and super detailed. As a creative cook I don't like to see a huge list of overwhelming ingredients. The recipes give you a place to start from and you can build on those recipes as you see fit.Cons:- No pictures. I like to read, but don't make me read a recipe book without any pictures. I will not get the idea, and when people are in a hurry to whip something up, reading for ten minutes is going to lose out to finding a pretty picture of a meal on Pinterest.- Hard to navigate. This is probably due to the empty space where pictures should be. But it's visually hard to navigate and read through. I turn to the next page and there is nothing on it. it interrupts the flow of the book and your eyes have to get used to it before you can really start reading again.Overall I think that this book has some good information in it as has been noted in other reviews. I think that it would be helped tremendously if there were pictures in the book or at least the space where the pictures would be is felled up so that there aren't just blank pages. The hard copy is being sold for about 17 bucks. I have to be honest and say that I wouldn't pay that much for this book. I would rather look online and come up with my own healthy recipes. I received this product at a free or discounted price (Like everyone else) for my honest, unbiased review. I value customer reviews when looking for products online and hope that my reviews can be helpful for others as well. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them. Thanks!

I got the "Healthy Diet Menu: A Wide Selection Of Healthy Recipes" and was very impressed with it. It had a good explanation on what exactly detoxing your body was and why it can be helpful to do it before making changes to your diet. The book includes a wide variety of detox soups, salads, side dishes and meals. In addition to these great recipes, there are also smoothie, snack and dessert detox recipes for those times that you just have to have something to munch on. Once your done with the detox process your onto the good stuff and the even better recipes and the door opens to THE BEST recipes. There is breakfast, lunch and dinner meal recipes to choose from and yes even dessert too. I highly recommend this e-book for anyone looking for a good, healthy, easy, common kitchen ingredients recipes.I received this product for free, in exchange for an honest and unbiased review, however, I am under no obligation to provide a positive review and have received no incentives, rewards or compensation for this review. Like most people, when looking to buy a product, I read what other people say about a product, and make an informed decision wither or not to purchase that product. My aim in doing this review, is to help others to do just that, make an informed decision. I hope this review will be helpful to others.

Rather odd but might be helpful for people who don't know anything about different diets
I'm not sure what to think of this e-book. It has different sections for different types of "healthy eating" such as low carb, low fat, muscle building (high calorie), "fish recipes to lose weight," and so on. Each section talks about the supposed benefits of that particular diet style, with very basic information. The recipes are often very vague, and occasionally are written in a way that makes me wonder if the author is not a native English speaker (or at least not American). This isn't a negative, but a possible explanation for the odd writing style at times. For instance, the steps in one recipe include "acquire a small bowl." I don't think I've ever seen that listed as a step in a recipe. Or "Take two salmon fillets and smother in one tablespoon of olive oil on the fillets." I don't think one TBS of oil would "smother" two salmon fillets and it's just odd language. Not bad, just not typical cookbook language at times and I found it interesting. The recipes typically don't contain amounts in the ingredients, so you have to search the text of the recipe to see how much of each thing you need. Also, many ingredients are not listed at all until later. For instance, the buffalo chicken salad called for only chicken breast, hot sauce and olive oil in the ingredients. Later in the text of the instructions it says to wash and chop this much lettuce and this much celery and this much of other things and then add a half cup of blue cheese dressing and mix it all together. Another recipe lists the ingredients at the beginning and then randomly in the text it says to then cover the vegetables with maple flavored rice syrup. That's a very specific ingredient to suddenly call for in the middle of a recipe. You'll need to read the whole recipe ahead of time to find out how much you need of most ingredients and find out if there are other ingredients you'll need to have on hand that aren't listed in the ingredients. Some of the chapters are incredibly sparse. For instance, the raw food chapter contains only two recipes -- raw pizza (yes, really) and raw chocolate pudding. The paleo chapter had just four or five chapters, and the vegetarian and vegan chapter was also quite short. Most chapters have just four or five recipes, now that I look. The majority of this book is also quite heavy on meat, which is not necessarily the healthiest in terms of diets. Even the meat-heavy paleo diet usually advises making meat a smaller portion of the meal and serving lots of fresh produce. Meat is the star of most of the recipes in this book, with the obvious exception of the chapters for vegetarians and raw diets (and the seafood chapter). This might be a good book if you want to see just a few examples of all different types of diets, and then look for a cookbook with more recipes once you find one that seems to fit your needs and tastes.

was I amazed (in a good way
I got Healthy Diet Menu: A Wide Selection of Healthy Recipes Kindle Edition by Marion Miles and Grant Elsie because I am starting AGAIN to try to eat healthy. I have been through this a number of times in my life. I successfully took off 240 lbs about 10 years ago and have been able to maintain my weight. But about a year ago my weight started creeping up again. In the last 12 months, I have gained 40 pounds and when I hit that 40 lb mark I said that's it! But it has been so many years since I "dieted" that I felt I needed help coming up with the right foods to eat to be healthy and lose weight. In the last few years, it is no wonder I gained weight because I started in on my old eating habits, which are NOT healthy. I do move a lot each day, which is why I didnt gain 100 pounds - which I could have with the junk food I've been eating. Anyway, I again find myself having to contemplate how to turn junk food eating into heathy food eating. So I got this book and wow, was I amazed (in a good way!).It has no nonsense and common sense suggestions on how to get started eating healthy. I love their idea of spending 3 weeks transitioning into eating healthy. The book suggests that just going cold turkey will just lead to withdrawals and insane cravings that are nigh on impossible to ignore. And I can attest to that - I have tried myself to "start eating healthy" about 5 times in the last 6 months and I rarely go more than a couple of days. Hence my getting the book in the first place. This bit of advice at the very beginning was a great start because it was exactly what I experienced. The rest of the book is basically in three sections:1. Detox Diet - Detoxing and what it means followed by Detox Recipes2. Dieting Cookbook - Healthy, low fat or low calorie recipes3. Comfort Food Diet - What it is followed by comfort food recipes that are healthy! The recipes are well written, detailed, and look amazing! I have one done one and it turned out so good that I will fix it again very soon. I am stoked about trying some of the other recipes. One things for me is that I don't like spending a lot of time cooking and MOST of the recipes can be fixed in a short enough time for me to consider trying them. I will come back once I have tried more recipes and let you know how they have turned out.My star ratings: * 1 star – Don’t waste your money. This thing is a waste of time and energy. ** 2 stars – Didn't like it at all myself, but can see one or more redeeming features that might appeal to someone. *** 3 stars – The product may be as advertised, but it didn't wow me and I would not pay the listed price for it. **** 4 stars – The product is very good and its listed price is fair for the product. Works as advertised, but had small issues that I didn't care for.***** 5 stars – This product is amazing and I love it!I received a discounted product in exchange for a review. I always give my true, complete, honest opinion about any product, I give a review based on the full price on the Amazon listing. I count on customer reviews as much as the next person, so I have a vested interest in keeping these reviews accurate and reliable. I am not afraid of giving a bad review on a discounted item, as you will see if you look at all my reviews. So you can count this as a reliable review.

Great book with recipes for different types of diets.
First I have to start off by saying that I received this product for free in exchange for my true and unbiased review. I rely heavily on reviews when purchasing items on Amazon. I would never provide a false review. This book has some really great recipes. I will be trying out some of these recipes. It is nice to find some healthy recipes that taste good as well. Some of the recipes that have peeked my interest are, Mint Salsa, Lemon Rosemary Chicken, Detox Pumpkin Pie and Low Fat Vegetable Lasagna. My husband and I are trying to eat healthier and I think this book can be of great help when trying to find some recipes to use as we go on this journey together.I like that the book gives you recipes for a bunch of different diet types. There are detox recipes, low fat recipes, low carb recipes, muscles building recipes, raw food recipes and vegetarian/vegan recipes. It is nice to have access to recipes for all these different types of diets in one book. I am also excited to see quite a few dessert options. Who doesn't still want to feel like they have some sweet options during their diet. All and all, I like the recipes in this book. It has a wide variety of options. I am eager to try a couple of the breakfasts as well as dinners and snacks. I would recommend this book if you want to have a range of different weight loss options.
