I'm impressed with the finish on this product. Yes it is made in China, yes it has a ‘plastic’ windlass and yes it came in at half the price of some of the other products. I’m also a firm believer that you can’t compromise on quality when it comes to life saving equipment and prefer a metal windlass on my CATs but the windlass is solid and stands up to serious tension. I have since ordered a couple of alternative better brand product and made a serious product comparison. No doubt that there is some rubbish on the market but this product is no lesser quality than the upmarket brand I bought. Hopefully I'll never need them.

Hopefully, I'll never use this, but if I had to, it's very easy to use, and made of great quality of materials. Doesn't seem like it'll break in use or travel.

I bought these to go in my trauma kit kept in my middle school classroom. I'm familiar with, have been trained on and used the CAT units, and I cannot determine how these cheaper copies are any different. I've practiced with them on myself, similar to my LE training using the CAT's and these appear and feel identical. In any event, they're strong and apparently well made and don't feel like they'll slip at all. I hope I never have to use them, but if I do I have every reason to believe they'll cinch down easily and hold well. I appreciate there are critics who call these "trainers" and not to use them in real life because they are not name-brand combat application tourniquets, but I've used the CAT's and I've practiced with these similar ones, and I'm convinced these will work when they have too, just fine.

People like to wait until they use a product before writing a review. I’m hoping, with this product, to never be one of them. Purchased two, one for work and one for my truck, in the even that $hit hits the fan and somebody is having the worst day of their life. I’m happy if I never use them. Quality looks the same as some far more expensive tourniquets on the market.

This is a must have if you are a hunter. Keep one in the car.

Es exactamente lo que esperaba, lo compre para practicar, me lo aplique con fuerza al menos en 3 ocaciones y no se rompió. Aun que resistió, tal vez podría usarse en una hemorragia real. Pero ese TAL VEZ me lleva a tener cat originales que valen al menos 4 veces más caro que este, en una hemorragia, ese tal vez podría costar una vida. Si no puedes pagar más, este es una buena opción, digo es mejor que nada o trapos con un palo. En caso que por deporte o trabajo requieras uno de estos, es mejor pagar por algo certificado. Conclusión es bueno, tal vez resista una emergencia real, parecido al certificado, podría tener varios para practica. Insisto invertir en uno de calidad, si solo lo quieres como cosa perdida, si recomendaría comprar este modelo a nada.
