Nice flavor. Good sized bag.
A misprint says that the price is per ounce. It’s actually per pound. The product page says that the bag is an ounce. There’s only one picture that shows the bag that does say it’s one pound. I’m not sure where the mis-information is. Weight or Price. If it’s per ounce, the expectation is a high quality tea. If it’s per pound, the expectation is NOT a premium tea. Having said that, here’s what I think about the tea regardless of the expected quality of the tea. I will admit to not being a tea connoisseur, but I do like the tea…. The leaves have a nice aroma and have a nice texture. The tea seems to be roasted oolong tea, so it’s dark and a flavor profile that is earthy.Followed the directions on the package given it is the maker’s suggestion for the best experience.Hot tea recipe -*5g per 8oz of water with a 90 sec steep time on the 1st steep. They did not specify temperature. I used 190F.1st Steep (90sec) The tea has a very good, earthy Oolong flavor. It got very dark during the steep.2nd Steep (60sec) The 2nd steep is supposed to open up the tea leaves. I found it very aromatic still. Flavor actually was a bit lighter, but still nice.Cold recipe…*3g per 8oz of water with 20-30min steep time. I compromised on 25min. I like the flavor this way alot. I’ve never done a cold brew tea. It seemed to have a little more of a tannic taste, but that might be from being cold.Overall, I’m very happy with the tea. Good flavor through multiple steeps.BTW - Expiration May 2026 gives substantial time to drink. It has a shelf life of 2 years, so it does jive with the expiration. No big deal.

This tea lasts through many steepings.
This is a bag of delightful Pu'er tea named Mayde. It's loose-leaf. I have to steep it in a teapot.😁The tea soup is a rich reddish-brown color, similar to a somewhat mysterious amber.🤓The taste is a tad bitter with a distinct earthy aroma that engages the taste buds. The smooth and balanced flavor lingers in the mouth for a while. On weekends, we often sit in the backyard on a leisurely afternoon. We take some tea leaves and make a pot to relish the slow time.😂Actually, I don't particularly like loose tea as it's not friendly to teapots without filters.Um, after several infusions, I notice the tea color gradually becoming lighter, but there is still a mild sweet taste.

Good quality tea
This is a good quality black tea. My favorite teas are strong black "breakfast" teas and this one definitely fits the bill. It's a large bag and should last a long time, too.

Great tea
I love Earl Grey tea and this one is no different. Good clean flavorful tea with very little debris after steeping. I find the 5 min steep time really align with my tastes.

my favorite
This is hands down my favorite loose tea...the best tasting one I've ordered in 2024. (And I've ordered a lot!) It just has a splendid, classic, almost oolong-ish taste to it. You can just tell it's going to be good from the moment you open the bag. The pleasant, rich aroma hits you right away, and only gets better upon brewing. And the amount you get for the price? Exceptional. Makes me want to try other offerings from this brand. Do not hesitate to order.

You get what you pay for?
Price for tea is good. But for this price, you are really getting the kind of oolong tea you get in an Americanized mediocre Chinese restaurant for free. It is not exactly aromatic in the way you expected from a decent oolong tea.

Flavorful earl gray and a good value
I’ve been enjoying this Earl Grey tea from Mayde. The blend of rich black tea with bergamot oil creates a smooth, uplifting flavor that’s perfect for starting my day or taking a relaxing break. The tea has a nice brisk and refreshing taste with a hint of bergamot, which makes it stand out from other Earl Grey teas I’ve tried. What I like is that you can brew it hot or cold, which is convenient depending on the weather or my mood. The loose leaves are easy to work with, and for the price, it’s a great deal for a pound of quality tea. Overall, it’s a fantastic find and definitely worth trying if you’re a tea lover like me!

Smooth and mild...
Usually when I drink loose-leaf green tea, it's pretty bitter in the beginning and has to sit for a while to mellow out a little. But this tea wasn't bitter at all. I followed the package instructions, and added 1.5 T to 1 cup of hot water. It's the first green tea that was mild and smooth from the beginning. The price may seem a little high at first, but for the big 1lb bag you get, it's worth it. Highly recommend! The one thing that confuses me, but it may just be a typo, is that on the back of the package, it says the tea type is oolong tea, but the ingredient is Sencha. Just saying.
