Thunderbird Vector Butane Double Torch Insert

Perfect fit for all my zippo's I tried it in, works great and makes an excellent cigar torch. I had another brand that never worked properly from day 1 but I have had good luck with 2 other Vector lighters so this is my go to now. When I was young I carried a zippo that was usually seeping fluid or out of fluid, now it fires up strong when i need it and no smelly lighter fluid burning my leg. Recommended!

It fits a Zippo case with a little help but the butane bleeds out of it. Tried to use the usual methods for repair/replace and hit a brick wall.

this Vector insert is a perfect drop in replacement for the classic Zippo lighters. The dual gas jets fire up a nice cigar in seconds! Very sturdy and does not leak fuel like the standard Zippo inserts.

Works great! Uses fuel fairly fast but puts out a great flame. Love it for my cigars. I also am happy that I can use my old Navy Zippo. I recommend you use super clean fuel to avoid clogging the jets.

Good: flame is great. perfect for lighting things.Bad: rod that holds lever popped out. I put a tiny dab of crazy glue on the end and seems ok.Personal opinion: it goes through fuel quick, tank isn't huge. turn adjustment down until just before it stops igniting.

Let's face it, a Zippo is not great for lighting cigars. But I like the look and feel of the Zippo. So I thought I would try the Vector Thunderbird Butane Double Torch Insert and it works great. Now I can have my Zippo and light it too. Please note: They recommend using a premium butane fuel and I would agree. I used up some cheaper butane and there was a performance difference.

It arrived early, which is nice. WOULD NOT WORK!!! Bought the over priced "Vector" butane it said use, filled it following all instructions. It refuses to light. Can see it spark...can hear the fuel escape when igniter pressed down...followed all instructions...P.O.S. will not light. So now I'm out the money for the insert as well as this expensive can of butane fuel. ZERO STARS

I received one of these that was defective, and was promptly issued a full refund, without having to send the unit back. I ordered a second unit from another seller, and it has functioned well enough, although it can be finicky about whether it will light at a particular flame level, and sometimes needs to be futzed with a bit, I am happy with it in my red matte zippo case.
