Great for Lettering, Painting, And Accents
I like metallic watercolors, but I was looking for something that I could use for lettering and accents that was a little more solid than some of the metallic watercolors I have.HOW THIS COMESThis comes in a shrinkwrapped bottle with a flip top on it. There is a hole for dispensing.HOW TO USEThere has to be a small well or dish to put this in for using. It can not be used from the container very easily.CONCENTRATIONThis is a nice dense metallic gold ink. The gold is easy to use for lettering or accents. It is not as transparent as my watercolors.WATERThis does blend out with water, so if you use it, it won't be permanent. It will need to be sealed if you want to preserve it.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is beautiful gold ink. It is beautiful for lettering or accents, but it needs to be sealed for long term.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. This is just what I wanted, I like it and use it often.PHOTOI took a photo for you of it being used full and partially loaded brushes. Then I used it with water to wash it out.

Really stunning golden ink
The best way to describe this ink is golden. It is not heavy metallic gold like Sakura inks, but it is a golden ink that can be brushed on like a watercolor. I use this in my speedball calligraphy pen to highly drawings. The metallic flake looks really fine and it should be able to draw up in a Rapidograph pen for drafting.

Exceptional Ink for All Your Creative Needs
I’m thrilled with this liquid ink! It’s incredibly versatile, perfect for calligraphy, artwork, and using with both Chinese brushes and dip pens. The deep black color is intensely vivid, making every stroke stand out beautifully on paper or canvas. The 100ml bottle is a fantastic size, providing plenty of ink for extended projects without the need for constant refills. The flow is consistently smooth, which is a huge plus for achieving clean, precise lines and rich, bold results. What really impressed me is its archival quality—this ink is fade-resistant, ensuring that your creations maintain their striking appearance over time. Whether you’re a professional artist or just passionate about your craft, this ink will not disappoint. Highly recommended!

Dense, Quality Black Ink
As an artist, who also taught himself how to read, write, and speak Japanese, also enjoys writing (and illustrating in) Japanese. Although, this 60ml Calligraphy Ink Pigment is perfect for doing both. I teach workshops in Sumi-e ink painting techniques, and this ink is perfect in its density, depth, and tonal properties.I studied traditional Japanese watercolor and Sumi-e ink painting techniques way back in the late 1980s under the tutelage of a master artist and Japanese National Living Treasure. I can't name him here, because I'm not allowed to name names, but he was very well-known in Japan for his incredible abilities.I'm never going to be a master, even though I studied under one. I'm too practical for that, plus, I'm what you'd call a lazy artist, and, I'm flaky, too. Flaky, meaning that I jump from one artistic subject to another, and play around with so many different art mediums, it isn't funny.Anyway, one of the mediums that I've always stuck with, one of the ones that I've been passionate about since at least my teenage years, is pen and ink drawing and doodling. This ink comes in a relatively small 60 milliliter bottle, you won't feel like you've wasted your money if you decide that the art of calligraphy (traditional Japanese or European) or painting or drawing in it doesn't suit you, but, it's a great size for starting out, in case you do discover that you enjoy working in this medium. Whatever you do, enjoy!

Love it!
This beautiful ink is the perfect consistency for calligraphy. I've stopped using all other black ink for my calligraphy and exclusively use this ink. Good find!

Black. Ink!!
Not calligraphy person, apparently!I love playing with and learning new techniques and mediums. Calligraphy has been one art I’ve tried a number of times now and if it didn’t click with this ink… it is NOT for me.The ink color is deep black, the flow quality is really nice. I don’t have patience repeating same line, stroke or character multiple times it turns out. In order to give a fair review I continued with the ink and calligraphy brush to outline, add fine marks and detailed curved and straight marks to the art in my journalsIt performed beautifully and allowed full control. The ink dried beautiful black with clean fine lines that were cleaner edge than my much loved India ink.I hope this helps, it will NOT make you master without a lot of practice. Go figure.

Very Pigmented Calligraphy Ink
Aside from a slightly strong soot-y smell, I have nothing negative to say about this. It's very pigmented and takes to my nibs well.
